there are some songs I really want to play properly and not just random flourishes

can someone help me with what flourishes should be played for each instrument, the timing and playtime?

I want to set a Bandflourish macro so I can set all the musicians to play the song right

anyone know the SW2 in order??

There is no right order for any song -- if you asked 3 musicians, you'd probably get 3 different answers as to what flourishes sound good. There is no way to make SW2 sound like the cantina band in A New Hope, if that's what you're asking. Flourish 4 in SW2 has the closest sound to the cantina band, in my opinion, and for that reason I try not to play it too often.

I suggest that you get a group of musicians who want to sound good, and play around. Jamming with other folks is tons of fun -- bandflourishing isn't so great for the people who are just sitting there.

i agree. there is no best order for a song. and you cant arrange sw2 to sound like it does in the movie cause most of the notes from the acutal song are missing.

best thing to do is get together with a group of musicians and play the song. write down what u like and make it into a macro

personally, when i play i like to mix it up as much as possible, although my band does have some set arrangements. After playing for a while u know what sounds good and what kinda doesn't so you can direct band members accordingly, even on the fly.

Well for SW2 I'm sure there is a correct order if you want it to sound like what was played in the movie. I'm not sure what the order is but I do notice a lot of the flourishes when I listen to the soundtrack. So I'm sure there is a correct order, but I'd wadger it will also require a full band to play. As for most of the other songs I'm sure there may be prefered orders, but I think they are all mostly modified versions of songs from the movies as well as a few new ones.

Wow my order for SW3 is so different..

For SW3 I like doing 1,2,3 or just straight to 3, then from 3 I may play 4,5,6 or just skip straight to 7, which is almost always followed by 8. Sometimes I skip all the way to 6 when I had an unflourished measure.

i like doing 5,6,7,3 cause it brings a nice effect
