Hi,

Just turned Novice here. I've been looking up the tree of new songs. Is there any "Electronic" sounding songs. Everything so far seems brass, wind or strings.

Thanks

There are at least a couple 'electric' tunes -- and you already know them. You just don't have the instruments yet.

One, believe it or not, is Star Wars 1. If you expend the skill points to get Master Entertainer, you get to play SW1 with an electric guitar (the mandoviol). It rocks! The drum loops aren't bad either, and the nalargon sounds like an electric keyboard or organ. To get drumsand nalargon, of course, you need more skill in Music Knowledgeand Master Musician, respectively. Personally, I like SW1 without any horns.

Another 'electric song'is Star Wars 3. On nalargon, this has a nice electric-keyboard sound, and again the drum/bass loops are cool. Mandoviol here sounds more like a funky violin.

On most other tunes, the mandoviol sounds like a violin or mandolin, and the nalargon sounds like a steel drum or xylophone, thoughon Virtuoso it sounds like a piano. On most tunes, the drums sound like rock drums to me, but there's a nice kinda vibraphone sound on Virtuoso and a couple other tunes too, and Virtuoso has somewhat jazzier drum loops. (Not a lot of brushes, though.) The bass usually sounds like electric bass to me, even on the great jazz tune Virtuoso, but I'll listen to it more carefully next time I play to be sure.

Furthermore I think the game needs more club type music, I think that would make a nice change from all the downtempo stuff. Especially with the poplock dances

Ah, I have a better idea of what you mean. I do agree that we could use a few more up-tempo tunes. Ballad, Folk, Waltz, and Ceremonial are all on the slow side, and tunes like Jazz and SW3 aren't exactly prestissimo.

We do have a few faster tunes. Virtuoso moves pretty fast if you play it with the ommni/bandfill. Star Wars 1 is a nice biting guitar/keyboard duet with drum backing. Rock has a good driving rock beat -- another song that doesn't sound like much until you get that bandfill. But yes, we could really use some tunes with a really fast, driving beat.

That said, we could also use some nicely-scored chamber music to supplement the only classical tune in the collection -- Ceremonial. We need more jazz-quintet stuff like Virtuoso and Jazz. We need more Star Wars-themed stuff like SW2 and SW3. We need more everything.

I had a Force sensitive character, with 23 and a half boxes ground out.
I had a master creature handler.
I had a high lvl crafter character.
I had a Bounty Hunter that I hunted PC Jedi with.

My game is dead.

I think we should be able to play ALL the music like whats in jabba's palace and maybe some other sw songs that would be awesome!! and another thing.. i wish we could experiment with crafting on our instruments and change the sounds up a bit OMG that would be REALLY cool cause then you could have a HUGE band with everyone sounding a bit differnet it is like they lost instrest with the instruments or something cause half of them all sound the same.. i neve have gotten that.. anywhoo if anyone is ever looking for someone to play with and your are on eclipse look me up i am a master musician/ master entertainer name Lou'rageous

Ceremonial solo on the bandfill/omnibox, with a lot of flourishes, actually does sound a little Jarre-ish (although not as cool, of course).

Changing the sound would be really nice, like the frequency and resonance, but I can never see it happening.
