Hi,

I think people have talked about being able to sell music on say a "HoloSet" (Like a Tape/CD) to people as an alternateway to help us make money and alsogive us more to do. As well as maybehave a Home Jukebox/Dispenser to sell or listen to our recordings. This is made up of course from the existing tunes and flourishes.

This leads me onto how this could be done. As in real life musicians can record music in a studio to sell. Well it would be nice if we could too, although I imagine extremely complex to implement.

Here's how it could be implemented.

Track Display

First of all you would be presented with box containing and9 x 16 grid.1 "track" for each flourish and an extra 1 for a new "pause" flourish. The 16 would be the amount of bars (flourishes) in the song and it just loops.

Entering Data

Here, depending on the level of the musicanyou can select your song and your will have those associated flourishes to work with. You would justfill-in the boxes on the track grid to arrange the song.

Something like the picture in the link below :

When you preview you song your character will play out the recording(with the chosen instrument)to test the result . You the Make the recording when happy.

The buyer of your "HoloSet" would use the recording (x amount ofuses) and the tune couldplay out when they are camped. This would be the 16 bar song and buff their mind for say 200for10 minutesOR heal mind wound damage. Maybe only higher level "HoloSets" can heal Mind Wounds, lower only damage. Cantina would still be required for Battle Fatigue.

You could even do the same for Dancers so they can make a similar product. Although theirs would play out a tiny holographic figure (generic, not the actual creator) in the camp like theLeia holo projection. That would be so cool.

Anyway thats the general idea. We can dream

Just to add to this.

It would also be nice if we could lay down more than 1 instrument per song, so you could play the omnibox and then do another 16 steps on the Kloo or something and mix over the top etc etc. Basically replicating a whole band for the song.

The way I pictured this it would be more like crafting than a completely new interface; although maybe you'd craft the cd-player and disc, then use that interface to actually record the music. The quality of the healing and number of charges andcomplexity of the musicwould depend on the components you used to make the player and the disc, as well as the skill of the musician.
