Just made Novice Musician, and noticed under my new skills one is being able to declare a waypoint as "manned". I suppose this is so people can tell if a cantina has an entertainer working it...but is this working or am I off base here? Perhaps this happens automatically?...I can't locate any command line for it, and the icon on my screen is the "take cover" icon, but it's jumping in and out of the space box (a bug, I'm sure).

it does work in a cantina, i know that much for sure.

if you use that command in a cantina, it will place a sun icon next to the cantina on the list on the right hand side of the world map (ctrl v be default). if noone has used that command in a cantina, that cantina will have a moon icon. should help people find us Entertainers more easliy, once people start to know to look for it.

i have been telling as many people in gae as i can. i think it was added with the patch, but not listed din the patch notes.

To put yourself on the SUN mark, though I wish it listed who was there, you use the command /register when you are in the cantina. This doesn't say who is there, but lets people know that a particular cantina has quality healing.

It's the /register command. Walk into any hotel or cantina and just type /register. This keeps the annoying dancing icon out of your hotkey bank. Medical types should try the command in the med center. It does NOT work in Theaters, player run cantinas, or taverns in outposts- only Hotels and Cantinas (and med centers for medical professionals).

What happens is this: Look at the Planetary map (CTRL-V). Click on the box next to Cantinas, Hotels or Med Centers. You will see a list of places. If there is a cresent moon, it means no one is registered there. If you see a Sun, someone is currently registered there.

I really wish you could /register anywhere you could heal. There's no point in dancing in the back room of a Tavern in an outpost, if nobody knows you're there.

Are you sure this works in a hotel? I was on Rori last night, and since it doesn't have any cantinas (only hotels in the two citys and a tavern in the outpost), I was jamming away at the hotel for some quick ent mission credits. I tried the /register command (well, ok, technically I used the icon in the "other" tab of the action window), and it said that "this location can not be registered". And IIRC, the hotels don't have the little moon icon in the planetary window.

If someone *has* gotten this to work, I'll definitely bug this when I get home. Heck, I'll probably bug it anyways, since you should be able to register any location where entertainment healing works. Well, at leastlocations already listed on the planetary map...

It works on the Talus hotels. It may not work on all planets. If there are sun & moons on the planetary map, it works there.

In their typical brilliance, SOE gave the register command only to Novice Doctors, as far as medical professions go. I am Combat Medic with vert competent healing capability, but I cannot register.
