Thread: Temporary Band Names?
I dont remeber anyone mentioning this as of yet so I thought I would bring it up. I think it would be both fun and helpfull for a group of entertainers to be able to have some sort of temporary (or permanent if the band is such) Name that appears over the members head.
This Way if there is more than one group, or some of the entertainers are not in the group, the customers and patrons could be able to see this. Then they could choose which group or person they want to listen too (or watch for dancers) Thusly, if they feel that the less experienced player could bebfit from the xp, they could choose to watch the band or person playing SW1 or rock on the slitherhorn, but if they want fast service, they turn to the more expeirienced group playing Ballad with a bandfill and a ME with a manndo in the group
Just a thought, what do you guys think?
Sorry I know what you meant, but I do think that PAs are a good way to create permanent bands.
I think replacing the posters on public cantinas with "our own adverts" and such would be hard to do, since no one person can own one of those cantinas and there isn't just one band per cantina. Maybe in player-houses it would be a feature to look at.
One thing I'd like to see is to be able to tell which players are group with each other. I usually want to watch the main group so I can help the most people when I heal, and make sure I'm not helping out one of those elitist RPers who refuses to group. (sorry just kidding... kind of) ![]()
Although my initial thought when I started playing was that PA would be the way to go for a permanent band, I have come to the conclusion that it isn't. My only validation for this is that many people are already members of PAs and aren't going to leave their PA just to have the band name showing above their heads by utilising the PA functionallity.
This is something I would like to see, at the moment we can only put it in our bios...
In terms of the posters, I was thinking it would be another dimension to the game for merchants. Bands etc could purchase the boards as you do irl, and when you have a show on at a certain location have some sort of billboard up. Just looking for more in game in character ways to organise things ![]()
