Thread: Correspondent forum and Correspondent PA on Test Center
Q3P0 recently posted this notice on the SWG Discussion Board. Since he made this post, the devs have implemented both changes. I will give you more detail as soon as I can. Unfortunately, right now I'm typing on a laptop with battery power; Hurricane Isabel has robbed me of power for the past day, and while my phone lines are up, this laptop is going to run out of juice shortly. Just to let you know we are starting to implement some improvements to our Correspondent pipeline. While we will be hiring the Assistant Community Manager soon to facilitate better communication with them and with you as well, we've got some other things in the works as well.
Private Correspondent Forum
We've created a private Correspondent Forum for the Correspondents to have more direct communication with the designers in charge of their professions. These forums are private so the designers have more freedom and less distractionsin their discussion with the correspondents. It allows the producers to watch over the proposed solutions before they become public knowledge (i.e. we don'tyou to feel we are "promising" changes that end up gettingvetoed by higher authority). The Correspondents will bring answers back from these forums when they are approved.
Test Center Correspondent P.A.
Designersand Correspondents will join this P.A.. We'll be able to hold some in-game private or group chats.Since Correspondents now have the power to get XP for their profession on Test Center, this will allowthem the ability toshowus their issues in realtime as needed.

They are failing to overlook the fact that all correspondents are not created equal. Take a look at the last entertainer correspondent, and tell me any of you would feel fairly represented by him. Also, the test server has proven itself to be useless, and adding twenty-some correspondents to it really won't make a bit of difference. It may work for classes like comando, where they would only need to test new weapons and such... a relatively objective task. Entertainer professions, however, rely on a more complete environment, which doesn't exist on test.
Anyway, nice that they are doing something... but they need to get several people from each class to play on test and join their PA if they really want this to work IMO.
