Would be nice to have xmas music for the holiday season.

I dont think they could have christmas songs. Then they would have to have a hannukka type song, quanza, etc. You can't even SAY christmas with the Language filter thingy

Now something like Halloween would work, cause it is religous. I QOULD like a christmas type song, but people would complain that it isn't fair. SOrry if i am sorta flaming you not meaning to

Christmas is a federal holiday, and there are lots of songs which have no religious connotation. Plus there's the precedent of the Star Wars Holiday Special (though that was aired closer to Thanksgiving than Christmas). In other words, I think special events, and songs around the holidays would be a fun little addition to SWG -- and I argued for it back in the days preceeding beta. I don't think it would prove offensive.

i think seasonal music would be a nice bonus if it were available from time to time. i also think that more music in general is long overdue, desperately needed, and anxiously awaited.

FYOI, I know a lot more people who are anti-halloween than are anti-christmas. Not that I'm either, just thought I'd pass that along...

Sure...i love a christmas carole but..this is Star Wars Galaxies. As a twi'lek I don't know what christmas is.

I think this would be a great idea. If you dont like the music or are offended in some way dont participate.

I like the idea. Give musicians a special song that is only available at special times and that changes according to the seasons. It should be non-religious. Even most christmas songs are non-religious, it's just about snow and ice and good feelings. And as long as it snows on some planets ( Correlia for example should have a US/European climate ) it won't break immersion.

what they should do is make new SW style music for SW style holidays that can line up with RP holidays, if i remember correctly there was a special event on the fourth of july and in game it was called galactic freedom day or something like that. so the DEVs can make up a SW holiday that just so happens to occure around the holiday season and have speacil music availible only durring that SW holiday, that way we have music we can play to celabte a specail ocation but it would have no connection to any RL religion and there for should not offend anyone (i say should because there is alway some group out there that is offended by everything no matter how PC you try to be)

basicaly you cant please everyone so i say the DEVs should just do it and not worry about how is going to get pissed off cause no matter what they do someone will get mad, that just how people are
