Honestly u mastered it probably doing the same thing at one point or another do not try to kid yourselves or the rest of us.

Live and let live ! Dont go getting all clerical and religious about the profession, you enjoy it "good for you ". I mastered ch the hard way, and you dont see me freaking out when i see an afk ch. Why dont i freak out ? because im probably one of the many in soe`s playerbase that can afford maybe 1 too 2 hours playtime "max" a day at the keyboard. So i do understand the need for afk macroing in many instances, my opinion ! You may like it or dislike it ,but guess what , its mine.

How, as a master CH, would you like being in a group of 19 people, where 18 are simply on /follow and 15 are spamming /yells every minute ? Yes, in a solitary profession, maybe AFKers aren't a problem. I don't think AFKers would be a problem in their own home. You probably know that sentence of freedom: Your personal freedom ends, where it infringes on someone else freedom. Sure, if said Macrotainers would do it in a remote location I don't visit anyway... who cares.

An honest and well written reply. That is a part of the problem i had not thought of, the fact that some feel that their freedom is infringed upon when someone afk macros in their group. Possible solutions :

1= do not join groups with afkers

2= if you lead a group and someone goes afk "size 10 boot"

That way i believe that all will find a little niche in the large universe of s.w.g.

Hope the devs find a solution to the problems your community is having, but in all honesty can u blame the playerbase that uses a feature incorporated into the game to alleviate the pain of grinding for say a holo profession?

I for one fell in love with the entertainer classes while grinding, i now enjoy " shooting the proverbial crap" in cantinas with new people everyday!

I mastered Musician without a single macro on my hotkey bar. I mastered it at the keyboard in the weeks after launch -- yes, it took me three weeks -- and I had a great time doing it. At that time, the notion of an AFK entertainer was a complete oddity. I remember when we discovered the first AFK bot in the cantina in Coronet on Chilastra. My bandmates and I thought it was strange and bizarre.

So no, not all of us mastered Musician while AFK.

Hmm. Your entitled to your opinion. But so are others. So lumping in something along the lines of *you all have probably afk macro'ed before* to rattle our opinions is a bit contradicting. If it is whining, it is still an opinion...and its ours =).

I feel for the non masters whom are wanting MM/ME and have to fight off the afk'ers Canadianwookiee. /addignore or not grouping with them is obvious, however these days it seems the enertainment healing xp is the toughest to come by. I usually start a *non-afk* troupe when i come to a popular cantina, however most are afk or just cant leave the afk dominant group because the mass bulk of those need healing are listening/watching onein the20 person group. Thats where the EH usually is.

The only suggestion I have with those whom also want the comraderie of chit chatting and fun is look for someone on the nalargon or with the master musician title, if there is one. Its not a perfect theory however your usual macrotainer for holo reasons doesnt need a nalargon if they just moving on...not to mention if people are not listening/watching a macrotainer they usually migrate to the nalargon. Why when in large groups I play the nalargon, hardly my favorite instrument, but it picks up the EH.

Lastly <breathes>, easy to talk and keep hitting /flo # several times and resume whatever conversation you were in or doing.../flourish # is same difference, just a bigger pain on the CTS =). I macro'ed once. In my own home by a lake in the farthest clutches of Corellia. Guilty. I make macro's now but they never repeat, and never afk longer than it takes to have a smoke =).

The problem is the AFKers outnumber us 10 to 1.

Yesterday I headed to Dathomir to act as healer for a group that didn't happen. Oh well. While I was there I hit the tavern and ran into an AFK musician a few levels above me. She wasn't flourishing, she had gone up the tech tree to buff rather than the music tree, and people listened to her because Virtuoso is a higher title than Novice (0/2/1/2).

Now just to top it off, I sent her an e-mail, being nice, and told her she wasn't flourishing. The response was a copy of her macro, a statement to listen to someone else, and that I was an idiot. I took great pleasure in responding that I WAS an Entertainer, and a Master at that, and described in excruciating detail her very unflourished performance.

Never try to help an AFKer; they don't have the brain cells to handle it.
