Hiya peeps,

Sice the launch of SWG I have tried Medic, Doctor, Scout, Marksman, Chef, Smuggler, Brawler & Artisan, Architect, DE and Tailor.

as you can tell, im very unsettled, for some reason I can't find a profession I like.

So I thought to myself, Why am I avoiding Entertainers?

So I decided to look at the Profession, and Musician looks quite good, I play clarinet in RL, see if I can relate to it. But having read a lot of posts, it seems most Enterainers are Holo Grinders and im afraid the Honest Entertainers are being pushed out by them? is this true? Am I going to find it really hard to do this profession?

Oh, im not a hologrinder btw.

initially yeah they may be a lil hard to find, but over time you will find them

Musician can be a blast if you have other people to perform with, or if you enjoy socializing in the cantina, or if you like buffing other people. Selling our buff can be lucrative, too. On the other hand, we've been waiting months and months for new songs to spice up our act, our gig missions are next to useless, we have no epic quest or post-Master content, rampant AFK'ing diminishes respect for live entertainers, and there is as yet no entertainer-oriented dungeon. We're all pretty tired of waiting for new content. So it's a mixed bag.Personally, I still enjoy it, but not as much as I did at launch.

Well, I went to Coronet Cantina last night and to my suprise there were loads of musicians there that were Hologrinders but were NOT AFK,

I had a blast for 2 hours, when I got there, they were all playing SW2, but obviously I was a newbie and couldnt play along, so they changed to SW1 just for me.

I Met lots of peeps and gained loads of experience but not yet novice musician but im looking forward to going back tonight or tommorow.

Some of them said they probably wouldnt be there again, since there Holgrinding but still I had a great time.

Since you dont sound like you are in a hurry to become master (the fun way), make yourself a regular in a player owned cantina. You will quickly gain a reputation as a genuine entertainer and develop a regular following of clients. The cantina owner will probably love ya for it too.

I think that the game is spoilt by people constantly in a state of MACRO in cantina's.I must admit though that after weeks of being a musicianit seems to be takin an absoulute age to complete even one box at the upper end of the treeso i have started MACRO'IN and im so ashamed of myself..... maybe if the MACRO element was removed then the cantina would be a better place to be in

please /brandish me the fool if you run in to me in a cantina, im the dreadlockedone dancing with a shoupat in spandex....

Once upon a time, I had a pet shaupautI named Giuseppe and I would play my bandfill outside the starport and have him dance. That was fun...for about 10 minutes. It was as close as I could get to being a real sidewalk musician with an organ-grinder monkey...and of course, no one got the joke.

I should go find another shaupaut.

I once trained a veermok for somebody outside Theed cantina so that it could dance while they were playing.
