I know customers are sometimes rude, but what about when entertainers are seriously beyond rude? I mean, was in coronet all day long, helping out newbies and getting xp, having conversations in groupchat... I was having a grand old time. But some ents are really really jerks, and it sucks when somebody makes them leader! Is this the norm? Because if it is, I'm gonna have to give up entertainer related professions, and I was really looking forward to musician. But I absolutely hate mean people.

It's hard to say when you don't exactly describe what it is they did...

I've had pretty good luck with my fellow entertainers. Those who aren'tAFK are generally fun to hang out with. Sure, there are always bad apples. The New York Times once interviewed a taxi driver and asked what percentage of people were jerks."15%," one cabbie replied. "But they move around a lot."

Heh.

/giggle.

I think I was just tired and so when they were jerks I overreacted and decided: I don't want to be an entertainer!! But hey, there are jerks in every profession, you are right. Duh.

So thanks.

I don't think it's the norm, but boy do you sure remember those punks who are jerks!

Just the other day I was in an entertaining group with only 6 people (the town wasn't busy at all) and this guy with a retarded name and nothing but a hat and hot pants comes in. He starts up his begging macro that spams three lines of "heals and tips plz k tks" right in a row, about every minute (while he was ATK mind you). Then he calls two pets, names them "TipUs" and "INeedCash" and starts them patroling around the inside of the cantina.

That wasn't the worst part, I mean anyone can do stupid stuff. So two of us ask him nicely to stop spamming like a homeless begger and take his pets outside. Well, no only does he not stop, but he got insulting about it too.

As a general rule, anyone who spams the same line more than twice is going to be a jerk. I make it a point to politely ask them to not do that when I see it and 9/10 times they tell me to piss off and ignore them.

granted. but i dont want to mention anything that could give anyone a name, since i really dont want to sink to that level. in addition, i just found out both were hologrinders, so that makes me feel better. plus, by the time i had revised that entry for the sixth time, trying to make it not sound like a sob story, a lot of my anger had faded.

There are some really mean entertainers out there... and I /comfort anyone who has to deal with them. Generally they are the holo-grinding ones... who get upset when the smallest thing goes wrong. You tell them to lighten up, you find yourself groupless. *shrug* Don't give them the benefit of the doubt.. OR more experience. Just leave the group and start your own.
