I have heard about people being able to do a full buff in 30 seconds.

Is this true?

If so, where is the post for this, or can one of you please tell me how it is done.

Is this an exploit to do?

Thank you for your time.

Ok, I found it on the Dancer forum. I am going to try it today to see if us musicians can do a 30 second buff as well. I think we can...

The Devs have SO already been informed of it and have not even commented in the month since it was brought to their attention....

In able to perform the 30 seconds buff, the performer needs to either eat an expensive food Accarragam or be Action buffed. I think it's a fair amount ofpayoff in able to perform a quick buff.

I get asked about this so often now that I'm almost tempted to add it to the FAQ. But until the devs give me an answer, I don't know what to say in the FAQ.

Yesterday I posted in the Correspondent Forum yet another request for clarification as to whether the 3-minute buff or the 30-second buff is an exploit. Another Correspondent chimed in with a follow-up question on the same topic. We still haven't received an answer.

The 30 second buff is the *ONLY* good thing to ever hit the entertainer professions in my humble opinion. For all us full time dancers and musicians this is the *ONLY* acceptable time the mind/willpower/focus buffs should take to apply.

10 minutes for applying a simple single stat or dual stat buff is ridiculuous. Whoever came up with that or whoever likes that hasn't been an entertainer very long. For the *FIRST* time ever, people are really looking me up for buffs and actually bothering to stop by and wait for it to complete. The 30 second buff has only advantages for both the entertainers and the customers. Dancing is now actually fun, again in my humble opinion. I hope they a) never ever fix the speedbuff or b) reduce the full buff for Masters to take max. 60 seconds.

If they fix the speedbuff, customers will just run back to Val's brandy.

If someone could explain to me exactly how to have fun dancing for one person for 10 ridiculuous minutes (that's like three times the length of a real life lapdance too!), please do. Stop the insanity - leave the speedbuff alone!

Well, I can buff to max without the speedbuff in about six minutes, depending on whether my Mind Enhancement skill is itself buffed. Maybe less. It doesn't have to take 10 minutes.

But yeah, I wouldn't object to a somewhat speedier buff. I'm just doubtful that the devs intend us to be able to buff in as little as 30 seconds. We are Musicians, not doctors; we play music, we don't inject people. A 3-minute buff seems like a reasonable compromise to me.

I personally spent a long time performing buffs without overlap. Since its based on flourish occurance I always assumed it was only for "performed" flourishes and not just ones used but not animated.

The max flourishes able to be performed seems to be roughly around 10 per minute, or every 6 seconds. Each animation appears to be roughly that length. This is how I originally began performing buffs, it still took effect in 3 minutes, and would provide 15 minutes per 1 minute the recipient listened.

After testing overlapping of flourishes it was found that it is not required to perform the flourish. This is what lowers the time down. I now perform my buffs flourishing a little over twice as fast as my regular macro. This lowers the time to about 3 minutes and 30 seconds. This is what I have stuck with, it seems like a fair compromise, still requires extensive energy on the part of the entertainer so it is not available to me if a healer is not around or I do not have any food.

Just thought i'd put in my two bits.
