You're cordially invited to join the great Entertainers of Bria, on "ent chat"...

What, you don't play on Bria?

...Well lucky for you, that isn't a problem, you can join from whatever galaxy you play on. Just type:

/chat join SWG.Bria.Chat.ent

Then right click ona chat tab and select"Join Chat Channel". When the Chatdialog box pops up, select Bria-Chat-ent and click join. You should get a new tab on your chat bars. Select that tab and type away.It's always a good time, and it is almost always up. Looking forward to seeing you there.

here are some more details...

/chat create SWG.[server].chat.[name] 0 1 [title]

/chat join SWG.[server].chat.[name]

so you can be on any server and if you want to create a chat channel on our beloved Bria...

/chat create SWG.Bria.chat.newChatChannel 0 1 MyCustomChatChannel

and for others to join (you will auto-join when you create it)

/chat join SWG.Bria.chat.newChatChannel

the 0 1 will make it non moderated, non private

to use a channel on another server, you will have to 1) type out the long name of the server (i.e. " /SWG.Bria.chat.newChannel message " or 2) have the window for that channel active and your chat will default to that channel...

Remember you can also alias commands.

So rather than switching chat windows or typing in /SWG.Bria.chat.newChannel every time, you can create the following alias:

/alias bc /SWG.Bria.chat.newChannel

This will create an alias called "bc" (short for Bria Chat, but you can call the alias anything you want as long as a game command doesn't already exist with that name). In order to chat in your new chat channel, all you'd need to do is type in:

/bc hi there!

Really helpful (and convenient!) for keeping in touch with friends on different servers.

It says Chatroom not found...am I doing it wrong?

It should say that, check under your "Join Chat" on your chat tab and it should be present...

I don't think it will work cross server or i could be doing something wrong but i don't even get bria as an option even after typing that chat join swg.bria.chat.ent

I'm going to test this out some more today.... parts of the command are case sensitive.....

there seems to be some problem

one may create a room on another server and chat in that room but so far I have not been able to join a room on another server which I did not create with one of my alts :'(
