On the sixteenth of this month, I think it's done. No more. Had it.
I'm going to this startics chat, and if I don't get an answer, I'm taking it all into my own hands. It means I'll no longer be a part of that guild amoung all entertainers, and it it really is a guild. I know them all, and I know I'll missthem dearly. I dump my real guild, too. They will not want anything to do with me after I dump musician... because they won't want their name associated with the guy who is doing what he's doing.....
Because I will become the most unpopular [edit] on the [edit]ing server.
Ok, this is the famous carpathia method:
1) Find a squad leader that can distriubute wounds (pretty sure its 0-0-4-0)
2) Find a master combat medic with an average strength action disease pack
3) Disease the squad leader so that his wounds are double that of the target buffbot (most have stamina or quickness buffs)
4) Have the squadleader join the buffbot's group (should be a solo group).
5) Have the squadleader say the equivlent of"i am going to evenly distribute my wounds to between you and me, in the process stoping your buffing abilities. You have 30 seconds to say something before I do." It is this verbal warning that is what stops it from being griefing.
6) Distribute the wounds. This may actually kill the buffbot (haven't tested it that extensivley), but will most likely bring its action so low that it cannot start/stop dancing.
This was OKed by a CSR.
I shall be redistributing my points! And to the class that far unnumbers jedi.
You all know what I'll be doing.
Ban me, I just don't care anymore.
Tonight, in Theed, I asked people if they wanted buffs, through /tells even. No, they just turned and walked out of the cantina. They'd rather go to a buffbot, and travel to do so. The profession has sunken to such a low... I cannot even go on. And when I complained on guildchat? "Well, are you always there?"
"NO I AM NOT ALWAYS THERE AND NO I DO REQUIRE FUNDS, YOU MUST ALL DIE."
I'm coming, Squad Leader, I know there's only three of you on my server, but there's about to be another, and everybody will KNOW IT, mother[edit]s.
Thank you, Carpathia. I was never a socializer. When I took the test I was an explorer, killer, socializer then achiever. So maybe I never fit in anyway.
They better promise something, because the buffbot's days are numbered regardless baby.

I just spent most of my night in what I tend to think of as my "home" cantina Theed. We have 2 butt bots that sit in the front room. with another 1-3 that show up in that room from time to time. But two always there. Main room is 90% afk with 1-3 Butt bots that show up here and there from time to time. The ATK entertainers most of the time aren't very entertaining and aren't much better then the afkers.
So tonight I run a macro changing my title from music to dance so that people would know i can do both. I sit there and mock the butt bots in the first room and anyone using them doing things like /sarcastic Ohh I'm sorry I missed you asking any of the atk entertainers if they could buff. Please forgive me for forcing you to use this (insert random mocking of butt bot) when there was live atk entertainers that could buff you. Over an hour of doing this and maybe 2-3 buffs for me and 20+ for the bot. I go with the invite macro . First I steal the one bots nala which quickly ends his use there. Second one I start off with just a simple spam invite which quickly bothers me with all the screen spam from it. So I start trying to time it out. Which is far more pain then it's worth doing. Over the next few hours I manage to increase my buffs up to about 4 and hour with an extremely sad number of people just walking up and standing there staring at the bot. Not saying anything. During this time I'm greeting everyone by name like I do most of the time. Try and talk to them. Ask them what they are doing or what they are waiting here for... In the whole time I only had 3 of those people ASK me if I could then buff them instead.
I want my freakin cantina back. But this this was just sicking tonight. I wish you Good luck with the Squad tactic... I might very well be joining you soon.

A man with a mission. A single vision.
How long did everyone think that entertainers would sit back and take all this before someone, or someones, went absolutely postal?
Stick it to 'em, baby...
You didn't hear this from me, but... if they can make alts to create buffbots, we too can create alts to make master CM's and Squad Leaders...

Theed is also my home cantina, but I'm blessed to be on a server where it hasn't been invaded by buffbots yet. Not even as high a percentage of afk entertainers as some servers seem to claim.
That being said, I'd like to support my entertainer brethren on other servers.
So, I'll create a character on whatever server is specifically requested of me and start working on squad leader. This excludes Tempest, Naritus, Shadowfire, and... crap, I forgot my final alt's server.
Let the squad leading begin!

It has been said by CSR's that it is possible to griefan avatar thatis AFK long-term. It has been said by CSR's that it is impossible to be charged with griefing if the person is AFK.Other CSR's say a warning is needed for the AFK'er before action can be taken against it. This is justfurther evidence of SOE's marvelous web of internal interaction and sharing of information.
I'd venture to say their internalcommunications are like clockwork--in a digital watch.

Griefing?
Squad Leader: /shout Can someone help me with squad leader xp? I'm going to invite people and see who joins my group;/invite Buffbot
Buffbot: /join
Squad Leader: /t Buffbot oh hey, thanks buddy, i thought you were afk! So, to get xp, I'm going to use my ability to distribute some of my wounds. I'll be happy to heal them outside as soon as I'm done. Again, thanks for helping me out.
Buffbot: *no response*
Squad Leader: /t Buffbot ok here goes.. let me know when you're ready for the healing.;/distributeWounds
Squad Leader: /say hey, does anyone know why using my squad leader ability didn't give me xp?
Seems like the buff bot's just being a stand-up guy, not being griefed
