Thread: Overall State of the Game in relation to Musicians

As I read Jester's post http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=GCW&message.id=220038 regarding Combat, it makes me realize how much of a downward nose dive this game is taking. While I do think that Musicians need some loving, I realize that in spite of buffbots, I still get decent buffing buisness (at least on my server), I still get hired for gigs, and I still have fun in the cantina (Theed, not Coronet). And I read about horribly unbalanced combat, gamebreaking bugs and other things, it makes me realize that a game that I love is taking a turn for the worst.
It's really sad that so many people cancelled their accounts this evening. I've heard unconfirmed reports of upwards of 5,000 people cancelling tonight. That's huge. Something needs to be done to /bonk SOE and wake them up and pull them away from their lovechild, JTL.
/sigh
I'll be surprised if my account makes it to JTL. I'm just really sad right now.
I know a lot of people cancelled (or at least said they did).
Before the thread got deleted, there were a lot of folks saying they're cancelling all of their accounts (some were 3 or more).
I think it was that trend that perpetuated, so they thought if they got rid of the thread, it wouldn't incite such a furvor. The problem is, they don't realize deleting the thread will do nothing. It's just some temporary damage control. People were pretty unhappy that this happened. And rightfully so, as far as I'm concerned.
SOE dropped the ball when it came to this Jump to Lightspeed nonsense. They didn't integrate it into the schedule the way it could have been integrated. They focused the last 4 publishes on mainly 2 professions - Droid Engineer and Jedi. And the rest of us have just been flappin in the breeze. And from what they said today, we'll keep flappin away for who knows how long. A lot of these combat folks are looking forward to getting their game back - with a challenge, and more level playing field for PvP. Once again, they wait longer.
What SOE should have done is realize the resources that Jump to Lightspeed would take - and consider the fact that their paying customers (all of us) aren't going to be happy being left out in the cold basically for another year. I still don't understand why they took all those Devs off the Live game for this expansion - they should have hired more folks on a long time ago and maintained some attention to their paying customers.
On the plus side, I think they very much realized they screwed up big with delaying this badly needed stuff yet AGAIN. We're probably going to getlistened to pretty seriously, as I think they really want to quell the uprising that happened tonight.
Panthu (the Dancer correspondent) said she's already submitted some issues, and TH already requested feedback on them. That's a gigantic step all ofa sudden, and the correspondents may suddenly get paid attention. I can't wait to see how this turns out.

$230 bucks so far to them for THIS game.
I get 1 song and dance some time in the next few months.
Nothing except we don't like AFK.
No fixes to my broken dances.
They ruin a huge part of my game from Hologrinding.
They don't want to police 3rd party programs , so they make it so that you use their macros to not play.
Nothing "In Concept" Nothing "In Develpment" Nothing "In testing" nothing to be seen except 1 song and 1 dance for the next year. They have taken my $230 that I have spent on THIS game. And instead of improving my game here they took it and used it to make a new game that I already own(X-wing vs Tie Figher anyone) and want me to spend another $50 to buy it.
When is WoW coming out again ?
