Thread: Question about Ommni Box

You need to keep the Ommni selected at all times. Same thing with the Nal.
Gramon Blatt, ME/MM, Chilastra
Both the Omni and the Nargalon are like this.
It is really annoying. That is why I don't use either one in the Cantina's.
Every time I start to play my ommni box about 5 - 10 seconds later I automatically prepare to stop playing then stop.
Need help with this, thanks.

Basically what he said. You need to always keep the omni box (and the Nalargon too) targeted at all times to play it. I personally avoid this by playing the Bandfill constantly.
I don't believe this affects buffs too much as long as you type the command /setperform <target's name> Someone might have to back me up on this information.

Unless you're at skill level X-X-4-X and buffing, there's really no reason to use the Ommni Box. Just use a bandfill. Unless you like the way the Ommni looks, there's no reason to play it unless you're still trying to get XP. The bandfill has the same sounds.
But yes, you have to keep it or the Narlagon targetted if you're playing them. If you're very quick, you can target someone and punch off a macro or effect or something, but you have to be extremely fast. Most of the time typinga command followed by a name works just fine, e.g. /setperform tarot. If you haven't maxxed out on Entertainment Healing, you can tell if the buff is being applied because there will be a tiny trickle of EntHeal xp. I know Waltz generates 6xp, and Virtuoso 7xp.
