Good post, Goldshadow. But in fact the devs already have tolerated combat-oriented macros, haven't they? I know people who mastered Brawler and even TKA while AFK. When I did Unarmed I-IV a couple months ago, people occasionally offered me macros so I could do it AFK. (UA is very tedious.) I declined. Has that macro been nerfed?
Also, you can do most of medic and doctor AFK; just get an alt to tumble for you and run your heal macro. The pesky crafting will take a day or two. Again, I don't think that macro has been eliminated.
So we're not the only profession plagued with AFK'ing. Ours is just more damaging to our profession than in other cases. TKA isn't a social profession. Musician is.

The important part that's just mentioned in Goldshadow's post, but would be much harder for people to imagine than the mere existence of a combat macro, is that this hypothetical situation would be damaging to atk combat players. Your idea has much merit, but I don't know that it will be received intellectually due to the difficulty (or stubbornness) in imagining such a situation.
