A long time ago,

An eager young man with dreams of becoming a musician walked up to a Bazaar terminal, browsed the wares and found what he thought would be a fine first instrument. The name caught his eye because it was made by someone who seemed to have been born for music and crafting quality instruments.

This hopeful young man then dug into his lint filled pockets, dropped his few remaining coins into the weathered terminal and waited for it to present him with his purchase... A Blues Slitherhorn.

In the next few short days, he progressed from cracked notes and missed beats to playing full songs and joining in with large groups. He found that the instrument wasof such quality, that it almost seemed magical -- as if it was empowering the young man with skills beyond his experience.

As is the nature of things, time passed, other instruments took it's place, and the young man's memory faded with his greying hair.

Jump to a month ago.

I was playing at the latest Friday night Galatic Entertainers Society event, when I ran into Blues. He asked me if I remembered buying a slitherhorm from him so long ago. Preparing his taxes, he said he came across my name on a reciept, and would like to know if it had served me well - and if I still had it.

I had to scratch my head... I DID barely remember purchasing an instrument from him, but couldn't remember where it was. In fact, in all my travels and assisting other up and coming entertainers, I had given away and sold hundreds of instruments. I told him I was sure it was lost.

Just the othernight...

I sent a message to Blue and asked him if he could meet me at my cantina, The Bantha PooDoo. He said he would swing by since he had to be in the area anyway. When he came in, I showed him a special item mounted to the wall at the entrance of the PooDoo. There, fully polished and hung with care - was the long lost Blues Slitherhorn for all to see.

I cant tell you HOW, I still had it after all this time, all the giving away of instruments, moving, packing and relocating from Tatooine to Naboo and then to Lok. Nor can I fully explain the wave of emotion that swept over me when I saw him stand and gaze upon his creation hanging on my wall and see the tear fall from his large Calamari eyes.

It seemed like a dream. I only wish I could have captured his words. He spoke slowly at first.. never taking his eyes off the wall. He seemed to be capturing time itself as he savored the moment. He spoke of satisfaction in seeing all his hard work and years of entertaining had been part of my own history. He was in awe in seeing what was essentially a piece of history of the music of Nartitus. He had entertained and assisted me - and the cycle was continuing. He said of all the instruments he had created, he was never more proud of one than the one on display in The Bantha PooDoo.

We spoke for many hours it seemed. My heart was full but my eyes were weary... As I said good night for the last time,I hesitated at the door and glanced back...

... he was still in the same spot, looking at history.

May the force be with you Blues! And all the entertainers of Naritus! YouNEVER know what small acts of kindness or service will have the most powerful impact.

Addendum

Last night, Blues came to see me. He said that after his manyyears of traveling (you HAVE to hear his rendition of "I've been everywhere") he has decided to settle down in my city of New Hope. I am proud to say that New Hope welcomes its first official non-rebel citizen!

We hope you will be happy here and find inspiration for many many new wonderful songs!

I have to agree. Great story man. I hear these kind of stories all the time, people comming up to me and saying "I have a Psystrument, and boy has it served me well." It gives me that special glowy feeling inside.
