I don't know if this issue has been covered already on how to stop the musi-fire without having to /logout but here goes.

Musical Fire...

Problem: A swirl of musical notes surrounds the musician when he/she is not even playing an instrument. The musician can not play their instrument in this state and have to 'logout' to get the notes to disappear so they can play again.

Cause: This happens when a musician (the offender) in the band does a /startband or /changemusic while another musician (the victim) is either sitting down or moving about (walking or running) with an instrument in hand.

Solution:
There are a few options to getting rid of musical fire, one option is to /logout and then back on (player's character must leave world first before logging back on, or the affects will still be there)

The other option that people may not know about is that sometimes if you sit in a chair, the affects seem to disappear (or re-sitting for those that were sitting when it happened to them). I have found that this does not always work.

The most effective way of getting rid of the affect (without having to /logout) that I have found is:
1) You must /disband or /leave from your current group first.
2) Do the /stop command
3) Do the /start command, choose a song, and play
4) Do the /stop command again (should be all cleared up after that)
5) Rejoin the music group and bonk the head of the person that did the /startband command in the first place

I have found the /disband /stop /start /stop method works all the time for me. I hope it works for you all as well.
