Okay, I can see the the legit entertainers are po'd about us (yes, me included) macrotainers. First and foremost, I never wanted to be an entertainer of any sort. Just not my cup of tea. Prior to the hologift, I was strictly Pistoleer and Medic. Deciding that I wanted to be a Doctor, I started working towards that goal. My holocron said Master Musician. Bah, musician, no interested in playing that. But, the game mechanics permit me to afk and play my instrument and gain the massive xp req'd for me to master musician.

Since I started this holo grind, I find that I am getting more medical xp than I previouly did. lol. I heal people outside the cantina instead of in the med centers. (which incidently, are full of hologrinding medics atm). I don't have to compete with healers, and since most people goto the cantina to heal BF and mind first, I get a first hand look patients.

When there is no-one to heal, I get xp for healing the entertainers, and when I am not healing them, I am playing my instrument, grinding out my Jedi path.

Like it or not, I think there is a place for afk entertainers. They provide healing during times when maybe there aren't alot of entertainers around. Put the responsibility of having afk'rs in your group on the band leaders, if you don't want afk'rs, boot them out of your group.

I want it to go back to the old days, where most entertainers were more spread out in the galaxy, not just in Theed and Coronet. I want it to go back so I can seethe Coronet Cantina, at 4AM in the morning, with only 3-4 entertainers burning midnight oil. And maybe sometimes when cantina's are empty, and I dare to say, in PC cantinas! I mean, we are the actual backbone to this game (a big portion of it, heal BF so medics can heal better, and mind HAM bar) The game community has gotten to the point where the majority society has no respect for the entertainerment industry. I am at the point where I will start praying that holocronism's influence will die out and our population starts to dwindle, dwindle so little that 10 master musicians can get together at Theed and play Waltz (or i again dare say Virtuoso!). I am at the point where I wish there would be times when there is NO entertainers in the main cantina's, I think that'll be a nice incentive for the rest of the community to start respecting us again, they won't be so disrespectful to us when /denyservice begins to show its meaning again.

This is funny to me because I went to the med center for the last 20k of my music xp and played for the doctors. A much more fun crowd than the robot zombies in the Coronet cantina. and as a solo performer, I got a much larger active listening audience at the med center than in the sea of faces at the Cantina.

Let's swap, musicians to the med center, doctors to the cantina!
