Hehe,Quintus, nice list. I'd add Rhobarrt, Odoro (when he's around...he plays on another server these days), Ironmaiden, and doubtless dozens of others I'm forgetting.

thanks quintus, you're not so bad yourself

speaking of live players...there's an even on saturday at 1pm est in xyon (on naboo). the battle of the bands. i know quintus can't make it, but kora and i will be there. if there is anyone else on chilastra who is interested, i highly recommend talking to Yaras. i'd love to have some competition out there!

oh! i'd also like to add Drakig to the list. he's a fabulous hairdresser/musician who puts on a great show!

I'm a 2/3/4/3 Teras Kasi Artist, who is also a Musician 0/1/0/0. I am a LIVE performer. I have never gone AFK in my Entertainment XP. Granted, it's taken my about 3 months to make it to Musician, but hey, it was worth it.

I can vouch for the bands in the Anchorhead cantina on Eclipse. Most of them stay LIVE the entire time, inlcuding Lace' and other Entertainment masters.

I agree. The AFK grinders and the Holocron BS has to stop. It's not even practical! There were NEVER this many Holocrons in Star Wars. So, Devs, I beg you. Stop this Holocron madness and come up with amuch more original way for someone to become a Jedi.

It's ruining a BIG protion of the game...ala Entertainers/Musicians/Dancers.

When i first started out as a musician i only went afkwhile i was still in the Entertainer tree and that was very rare(usualy when i went to bed). After I became novice Musician i almost never went afk(im usualy afk for short periods of time).it took me about 2 months to finaly get Master Musician.i am afraid that many of the Real Musicians i have come to know as good friends on Intrepid arecalling it quits with the game. i already heared 1 of my friends quit and 1 is thinking about it since the free holo thing came out.

perhaps you could log on in to Intrepid and do ur search there, maybe u'll run into me. *look for the guy in the white jacket with the Elvis doo*

I remember Chaple!

Thanks for the support. I wasn't one of those performers you mentioned but it's good to hear that you support the profession even into your retirement.

Do you think there is a market for an Ahazi-style cantina revival on Chilastra?

Hey all,

Last night I went on a quest to find real performers, I started on Corella, hitting all the cantinas, then went to naboo then went to tat. After hitting about 12 cantinas I finally found some "REAL" performers in Bestine. They weren't masters but the majority of them were from the guild REMIX.

They were very friendly, and I started testing if they were afk. So I would send a tell to one and wait for a reply. Out of the 5 performers there, 4 weren't afk.

Now, I know no one remembers Chaple, but I was once a MM/ME for the love of the profession not buffing or holo's. I play two accounts, one char is Chaple and the other is Deceptus. Chaple doesn't do a whole lot anymore beyond smuggling. BUT Deceptus is a very profitable master weaponsmith.

So, after deciding that these four people were the closest thing I would find to real performers, I walked over to the bank and pulled out 1.5 million credits. Walked over to the cantina and tipped each one 100k. They all said thank you. I was pleased, actually one mentioned something about "If I wanted a bj with that.." lol. I laughed.

Next step was to find out if they could RP, so I started chatting them up, and all in all having some fun. Two of the performers seemed to play fairly well so I /tipped them each 50k more.

Well after about 30 minutes, and one performer seemed to out perform the others with her friendliness and conversation.

So I broke out the big guns and tipped the one I felt who was the mostactive performer 1 million credits. Gave out a few weapons and logged for the night.

I might not be a MM/ME anymore but I still love the profession.

Alderonn -- retired from a sadly broken game. my return is dependant upon SOE's ability to make this in to the great game it can be, or leave it broken. i imagine it will be the second option.

...
huh..

In responce to the orrigional post...

Yes, REMIX has alot of good people. You might even lend some help to them if you know anything about making a group performance, their leader is Bis...

Okay, this is where I admit I'm one of them. None of us really know much about it, so help would be apreciated. And it's good to see people like you still exist.
