Thread: Why own a Cantina (or bugged Theater) that takes 3 lots vs. say 3 harvesters?
I'm part of player city and am about to get Master Musician. However, using up 3 lots so our player city can have a cantina that can in no way generate me the income of say 3 harvesters, is well, very sad.
Other than RP reasons, why spend 3 lots to put down a cantina?
PS: I'm also a doctor and already have 3 lots spent on a Hospital
Now do you see why?
Because a Cantina, even a player-owned one, heals Fatigue and Mind Wounds over time, excruciatingly slowly. But it does it. So even if there's no entertainers your fellow citizens can get their Fatigue taken care of.

Cause it's fun to have a place to call your own, invite friends over, have parties, just chill, whatever.
It's also a real blast to login to your Cantina and find it full of people dancing, playing, chatting, listening. Last night I logged in to see 3 women seated around one of my tables chatting about some PVP they had engaged in earlier. They were wondering what there targets were now doing and if people would tell stories about them. Was really great to see.
If you DON'T want to spend the lots for that, maybe you place the Cantina, and get 3 lots from somebody else in your PA for Harversters, under the requirement that they take over the management of it or something.
Or just send them to mine.
I couldn't have said it better myself. I have the ostrich mentality about my cantina.. That if I'm not there to observe it, the place is empty. I was proven wrong with a vengance the other night when I logged in and found 5 or 6 entertainers and 4 or 5 people watching. One of the entertainers was even a master musician visiting. He hopped on the narlagon, I took the ommnibox, and the other musicians were on mandoviol, traz and chid horn. I think we played nearly everything including ceremonial, with only 1 or 2 entertainers dropping out for jazz and ceremonial.

My cantina brings in over 400K per week in revenue from the bartender sales. I keep it stocked with muon gold, angerian fishak suprise, tat sunburn, and glazed glucose pate. Im in a prime location..... about 700m from Ft. Tusken, so ppl are always looking for mind buffs, and mind enhancing food. My AFK policy keeps live entertainers there, so there is someone always there to buff. so in answer to your question, im bringing in more than enough money so the lots are being well used.
If youre wondering about my AFK policy its simply this... if you are a performing entertainer who is afk for more than a half hour... you are banned from the cantina for a week.
i can heal battle fatigue and mind wounds in our med center ...
can doctors heal wounds in a cantina ?
Cantinas take up 6 lots, I only have 4 lots for harvesters now. I destroyed my small house, and only have the Cantina now.
