I can see exactly where all the true entertainers are coming from with the anti-AFK stuff. How does anyone else like to have thier profession flooded. Heck I am a Master Doctor too, and with all the holo-docs running around ninja buffing the prof. has gotten out of hand. I had the good or bad fortune (however you look at it) of drawing master musician as a holo prof. Now I must admit I am not free from the shame of using a macro, however I try to be ATK as much as possible. What bothers me is that the cantina used to be a fun place to hang out and talk and such, but now places like Coronet Holo-grinding Association aka the Cantina is as silent as a tomb provided you have /addignore'd all the stupid yell macro people. I would really like to have some other entertainers come out and join a group with me so i can have people to talk with while playing music. I think if people did this or at least made a effort that entertainers would regain at least some of thier lost respect and those of us holo grinding would be at the keyboard more because the Cantina would become a fun place again. Just my two cents, and I do personally apologize to all of you who are entertainers for the simple joy of the proffesion.

When I was finishing my grind to Musician (I had beenworking on it since Mid August and except for a month of downtime where our videocard was dead I was playing music on and off) las tmonth it was a big sigh of relief b/c I had been in Coronet on Scylla finishing up and during the last week of my work to finish up, I had to turn off the player music and would sometimes go afk macro for an hour or so while I did things around the house. 've bee nagainst AFK macroing since I started, but I just couldn't take it anymore. Many of the people in teh cantina, especially hologrinders, were just starting to become complete @!%#$ and it was just not much fun to be there then. I felt compelled to play in Coronet tho, b/c gaining Ent Healing XP back on Tat just didn't happen at any decent rate if at all. So I put up with it and as soon as I made master I moved to Dune Retreat as requested by my friend Fidg'ter and established my cantina, Golden Dunes.

I played a cantina opening party for a dancer friend the weekend before I opened mine and had a ball...made 70k taht night too heh. Just to give myself a bit of space so I will actually contnue to enjoy the profession, I've been playing my character over o Valcyn almost constantly lately and it's been quite good for me I think. He's TKA and BE (courtesy of teh holiday holo but I'm enjoying it a lot and will probably keep it) and it makes for a nice combo as he can actually defend himself from the creatures that aggro on him while he's trying to sample.

Ok I'm rambling, but my point was that I can totally understand the cantina aspect. When I would group in Coronet we would usually have anywhere from 5-12 people as AFKers, but that number would usually decrease as more people would come in and we would kick AFKers for live players. The cantina was largely quiet there simply b/c we would al ltalk in groupchat instead of in spatial until we saw someone questioning if everyone was afk heh.
