Well I worked my way up the Entertainer and Musican skill tree and I finally managed to get Master Musican and my dream of placing a Player Theater in our city. Unfortunately you cannot use an Omni Box or Nargalon on stage. Audience members cannot get healed and you cannot do buffs while performing on stage. My question is why own this structure? Is this a bug or to be fixed?

it is a known thing. all theaters act the same way. all master musicians/dancers who placed one were disappointed after placing them.

a fix for them? who knows.

I reported this to the devs while theaters were still on Test Center, and I'm pretty sure they're aware of the problem. I have no idea why it's taken so long to fix. I can understand why they're having trouble making the ommni/nalargon work; but I can't understand why the most basic function of an entertainment building, healing, doesn't work.

Also, I don't like the way they look. I wish we had the NPC player theaters, with all those pretty red chairs and the huge stage.

hehe new jedi- we cant heal because it is considered outdoors. if it were an indoors theater it would work fine. just go backstage and you can heal/buff there. it is the same reason we cannot place furniture in the ramps (seating area).

same goes with furniture on the roofs of buildings that are outdoors. it all works the same as if you were actually outdoor- heck the radar even switches to the outside one.

i just dont understand why they didnt give the npc one either though maybe a half sized one - those things are quite large)

Currently it is one very expensive wardrobe.

True.. and Camps are classified as outdoor.. There is not reason why SOE can't code player theraters teh same way you code camps.. atleast this way you can heal.. Doesn't do anything about placing furniture yet.. but the most basic fuction to heal can be fixed in 5 minutes.. JUST CODE THEM THE SAME AS CAMPS, until you get the other problems fixed..

Looks good, I guess we will just use it for town meetings since that is all it is good for! Oh well now onto Master Dancer.

wow i never even though about using it as a meeting place! that is a great idea hehe.

Yep since there is not enough seating in our City Hall, we are now using it to host meetings. Oh yes, and pretty pretty credit sink.
