I got the western song yesterday. I was curious if anyone knew and at this point is just something I thought of after the fact that popped in my head.

If I learn the song and at some point decide to leave the musician profession for whatever reason...would I still know the song (preferable) or is the quest repeatable (acceptable enough) to get it again if I decide to come back to musician at a later point?

Your character will know the song forever. Of course if you drop Entertainer altogether, you won't have the ability to /startmusic and can't play it, but if you ever have at least Novice Entertainer (even after dropping and relearning), you'll still have Western.

That's what I was thinking, but wanted to make sure.

Thanks for the answer

I got a char that is no longer a musician, but I never learned Western. I have the scroll still, do you know if it is tradeable?

From what I saw it is character specific and untradable. Before I found the answer to my question I tried to place it in my house so it was out of my inventory, but said I could only put it in my main inventory or bank. Also for the fun of it I tried putting it on my vendor and it also gave me that sort of message.
