I'm used to combat/crafting professions but for the good of my guild I decided to try an entertainer class, and to be honest I'm really enjoying it. I enjoy the crack and banter down the cantina and dont afk there as theres a lot of fun to be had.

Thing is if I'm going into town or going to be out for a few hours I often pop to my guild pa hall and set a macro going to give out inspiration buffs to my guilides who tend to grind from the mission terminal outside.

Problem is for some odd reason after a while my character logs itself out to character login screen, even with a recursive macro going. Anyone know how i can avoid this, really frustrating to letting my guildies down.

Thanks for your time.

in the options there is a AFK tab , it has a box to check if you want to auto afk after a certain amount of time and what you want it to say. Un check that box

It's not that macros are evil. They aren't. It's AFK bots that are.

Many of us use macros for performing, not to mention a ton of other things in all professions.

How naive you are. Whether that box is checked or not has no effect on if/when the system will log you out. I have been logged out for "inactivity" while writing emails and talking in guild chat... and since I was moving my mouse & using my keyboard, the afk check never kicked in.

I have also sat in the med center with a "keep-alive" macro running and left the computer on and when I got back, my charcters was auto-afked but still there (and fully healed).

Here isthe simple "Keep-alive" macro that I use:

/sit;

/mood none;

/pause 430;

/macro Keep-alive;

Nice, simple, non-SPAMMING macro that is good for keeping me online when I need to and have to leave my computer for a length of time.

I survived the CU

I can not survive the NGE
