You guys dont get it do you. Do you think people want to run around for 1 hour looking for a buff? Come on be realistic, this is a game its main point is to have fun. The best way for many many people to have fun is to get buffed up as fast as possible and go out and kill stuff.
I am providing a service which no one else in the entertainment field can provide. And its not your fault, its SOE fault. They made it so that the game is not worth playing unless your fully buffed.....

I'm sorry, I don't get it? What is it with people these days that insist that they must be buffed 24/7? It's a game, it's supposed to be fun. And it's supposed to be challenging. Running around fully buffed lessens the challenge immensely, which also lessens the fun and the incentive to be grouped with friends. Sure, blame SOE if you want to, but what's really ruining the game experience is people not caring about other people's game experience; people like you who set up your buff-bot even though you've been told repeatedly that it harms the entertainer community, and people like you who've conditioned much of the gaming population that mind buffs are a right not a privilege and that they're available for free anytime and anywhere. Even doctors are not held to this standard, but somehow entertainers should be?

Please get off your high horse and go home. We're sick of buff-bots, and we're sick of self-righteous buff-bots telling us that they're not ruining the game for us when one would think that we would know better.

Ok, I will admit it, I am a buff bot. My only purpose is to provide buffs to anyone who wants for free. So I have a macro setup in the Coronet Cantina along with Diapente. Now there is this griefer in an entertainment group who is making it impossible to do this. The characters in question are :

Jackob
-John

(Naritus)

Here is a quote from Jackob

you know the beautiful thing is? you /join automatically, and i can /invite you non-stop Seriously, I have so many alts, and several expendable ones There's nothing you can do but get your own catina and spam at th e starports your buffing services. You steal healing xp from Novices and are huritng everyone..

I think this is BS considering he himself is AFK, and he is just an XP whore. I got my XP in that Tina with Diapente there, and did not complain one time. So I ask you as a community to help me out.

Ummm.

You have the right to run a /join macro, why can't they run a macro with /invite in it?

Your macroing hurts his game experience, his macroing hurts your game experience.

Oh your full of it I have told any entertainer that if themselves or thier guild can provide a Master musician / dancer 24/7 then I would leave. I am not hurting the game experience, in fact I am saving it...

So I dont see how I am hurting anything, I am in fact making things better, sorry you cant see that..

Oh and /ignore seems to do the trick, if someone is running a /invite macro on you just put them on the /ignore list and it wont work anymore!!! hehe...

I was playing yesterday, someone sent me a /tell asking for a music buff after they got off the shuttle at Nym's Starport on Lok. I was at Nym's in less than 2 minutes after I hopped a shuttle, we ran to a cantina, and the buff was done in 3 minutes. Is 5 minutes really that long of a time? I think there's a perception that it takes a long time to find a buffing entertainer, yet that doesn't really match up in reality. Sure sometimes it takes awhile. Sometimes it takes forever to find a buffing Doctor. That's just how the game is.

It shouldn't take anyone 1 hour to find a buffing entertainer. You hit a big city if you can't find one on the Search function. Keep brandy and canape handy if you need that mind boost and there's no entertainer or don't have the time to get an entertainer buff. I dunno, that's what I do.

It seems an unreasonable request that any player play 23/7 (1 hour lost to server reset). I've never understood that demand on entertainers. Do you require Doctors to be on 23/7? I just find it very odd that Entertainers were dubbed the professions who need to be playing all day everyday. There's always entertainers playing - go to Theed or Coronet. I guarantee you'll find someone in there to at *least* heal your battle fatigue.

From my perspective you are the griefer because you are one of many who are systematically destroying the economic viability of 2 elite entertainer professions. You are a killstealer. What you are doingto the entertainer professions is the exact same thing that some people do when they steal otherskills, experience, and loot. The alleged "griefer" that you're referring to is merely acting in self defense and defense of the professions that he/she dearly loves.
