If you want to be able to play the mandiviol or learn the Ceremonial song, you'll have to master entertainer. Otherwise, therearen't really anyadvantages or disadvantages to it.

Checking your spelling (and punctuation, too) will ensure that you're making sense to more than two people.

I would like to take a minute to point out that anything I may have written in the above post in no way reflects badly on SOE or any of its affiliates, and in fact I am ecstatic and overjoyed that I am able to participate in such a well-programmed, bug-free, and engaging game with such wonderful and helpful forums moderated by such fine and upstanding people. The only reason I keep Master Entertainer is because of the Mandovial, I do enjoy the ID line, and every once in awhile dancing (when I'm really really drunk in-game. ). Personally I don't really like the dances at ME, and I rate Ceremonial somewhere around the level of Rock.

The main reason (IMHO) to get ME as a Musicianis to have the "shock" effect of a Mandovial because there is a large number of people out there who haven't ever seen it played.

/GASP! How can anyone rate Ceremonial so low! lol IMHO, ceremonial is the BEST song (/emote rates virtuoso below sw1), so that and having the mandovial which sounds great on most songs is worth every wasted skill point. And as the one said, shock value. Few people who master Ent master musician or vice versa.

hehe. I was probably underexaggerating the value of Ceremonial somewhat, but it reminds me of the horriblecheesy music dubbed into cheap documentaries about the dark ages. *shudders*

Yeah, it's worthless. Sure, a new song or instrument is good (a cheap tactic from the devs, of course), but the points invested aren't worth it for me. I dropped some scout and medic to learn master entertainer for a wedding gig, and after that gig I guarantee I won't keep it.I already play music, and I'll be damned if I'm going to invest even more points so I can... play music.

I wouldactually consider keeping it if there were bonuses to skills, like healing or mind enhancement. But there isn't.

Whenever I went for Master Dancer I always picked Master Entertainer as well. For me, having the mandoviol and a song that hasn't been played until it was numbing, it has been more than worth it. I love the ceremonial song, and I would rate it pretty high actualy. Rock is just a dull song imo, where the instruments suddenly appear to have a dim installed. I love how for example the mandoviol sounds on starwars1, now if they had made it sound like that on rock, it would have helped it a lot imo.

It also has a big fun factor for me. The animations when playing the mandoviol are crazy, I love them. I also believe that as a musician I should be able to play any of the instruments in game. Plus I still get from people that they don't see master entertainers much and they seem to like it. They like it so much that in the months of playing ceremonial is the most requested song of them all. Why? Because as I said earlier, it hasn't been played to death yet.

I got master musician in September, and just finished master entertainer a week ago. I admit it was always a bit embarrassing when I was playing a gig to have to sit out during ceremonial. However, I do have other professions I want to try. I will never give up master musician, so I suspect I will not be a master entertainer for long. Besides, I like the chid horn best!

I was kinda in the same boat. My original template was Master Musician/Rifleman. I ended up mastering Marksman for some rifle bonuses.

But, after having to sit out Ceremonial once too often, I figured I'd get more use out of the Mando and Ceremonial than I would with pistol and carbine skills that I never used, OverchargeShot2 that I rarely used, and a bit of speed/accuracy bonus to rifle.

It was a matter of months before I picked up the char again and mastered Entertainer, but it was worth it for me

I keep it for the mandoviol. I feel it is one of the most essential instruments in a musician's arsenal. I also am able to put one type of hair style on my zabrak musician.

Ohhhh I haven't tried this before. Although I am on an omni box right now, but they seem to be the same if not entirely? But I'm definately going to try this once the server comes back up (which it is hopefully after I've posted this msg ^^)
