If seems if you take your eyes off your instrument you stop playing it. How can I buff if I cant start a mind buff when I am already playing? HELP

Two ways: You can type /setperform and then click on the target, press enter and then go back to your instrument really fast, or you can use /setperform <target>
Personally I don't like using /setperform <target> because I don't tend to trust the buffing system so I like selecting my target to do it. I hardly ever do an Ommni or Nalargon buff unless group buffing, usually I just stick to Chid horn.

Hey Sart, long time no see.

This day (week, really)has not been all that good to me...I have a million (ok, that's a liberal estimate) papers due tomorrow because that is my last day of classes, and then I get to study for finals.

I finally got bored enough to get online and browse the forums and then decided to change my PA link to my (very poorly designed) website, but for some reaon it spazzed out and now contains 2 links to it while my formerly nice-looking signature got mangled by the html sig nerf. I'll mess with it and get it fixed up some this weekend. Then maybe I'll be able to get some quality in-game time. Now back to polishing upthese darn papers...

that's what I ended up doing, I usually play the chid horn on virtuoso. 4/10 for 5 minutes. (don't care for the fast food style 3:10 buff) Now that I've picked up a playback droid, I have bandfill and mandoviol on my playbacks and use either chid horn or traz. (ommni box and bandfill sound pretty much the same to me)

Stutter, are you buffing okay even when grouped with (and playing with) your music droid? I'm getting conflicting reports on whether the buff works when you're performing with your droid. I tried it yesterday on TC, and I'm not sure whether it worked or not, because my recipients took off before the buff was over.

I always have my customer check his buff before departing. Even when they leave before answering me, I hound them with tells until they answer. If they haven't been /watch ing when they listen to me with my droid, I haven't had a problem. To me it seems to be that it doesn't take if they /watch and /listen at the same time. When they do try to get both at the same time, it's been a pretty even split on which buff does not take. This is just from my experiences though.

Yeah, I buff okay with or without the playback droid. I have given many many buffs with the playback droid out, no problem. Agree, I thinkthe newer problemshave something to do with dancers and musicians not being able to buff at the same time, probably they shouldn't watch anybody at allwhile being buffed.

I believe '/setperform charactersname' will work.

With a floor instrument you can do /setperform on your patron before you actually start playing.

It still works the same /setperform doesnt have some kind of duration or range or anything. If you type /setperform on someone they are your targeted setperform till you switch it..or they log out. So in essence you could target someone /setperform have them get the buff and come back two hours later and you woudlnt have to setperform on them...unless you switched it to someone new.

Just an FYI on this..i thought i was common knowledge you could /setperform before playing a floor instrument. It was an issue when they made it so entertainers buffed and they fixed it in a hotfix i believe shortly after.
