I have yet to see a vendor with an instrument on there that either wasnt a kloo horn or some hugely priced one.

tips/hints/tricks? I sell instruments on my vendor on Bria for fairly cheap... but the higher up ones are more expensive... name is Sartinius... if you're not on Bria you should be able to find a Musician to make you one for not too much...

Usually they're on the Bazzar in Coronet and Theed, since those are the top grind spots. If you let us know what server you're on, someone here might be able to hook you up. No, experimenting on them accomplishes nothing at all. Instrument quality has zero bearing on anything.

I sell mine at prices based on when the Bazzar had a 3k cap for items, and I put the Narlagon at that price, with the Slitherhorn being 200 credits and the rest ranging in between those two extremes, based on the skill level needed to play them. When I'm in the Cantina (almost never, anymore) I'll make an instrument for someone who's just gained a new certification for free, since I keep the resources for doing so on me at all times. But that's just me.
