Thread: Musician Quest focus testing on TC
- Test Center failure override timer - Normally you have to wait 24 hours between performance failures. In order to facilitate testing, Test Center has an override for this timer that will allow you to try the performance again more quickly
- Quest redux - Since the rewards of the quest are different if you complete it as a dancer or musician, if you complete the quest as one profession, you can go back and try it again as the other. For example, if I complete the quest the first time as a musician, I can go through it again as a dancer and get both rewards.
- Reduced difficulty for 2nd and 3rd performances - These performances should still be challenging, but not impossible.
- New song and dance rewards - If you complete the quest as a dancer you will be able to learn a new dance; if you complete it as a musician, you will be able to learn a new song!
- Other minor fixes and contextual changes
- Difficulty or ease of the performances
- New song and dance rewards
- Bugs (gating advancement, etc).

I don't see how the reward could require that much testing........ but I'm not a developer so.... also, I think the quests were easy enough back then......... now everyone that tries to do the quest will accomplish it on their first try..........
the whole point of a quest reward to me is that it takes some effort and maybe even time to achieve... don't get me wrong, I am happy that we are finally getting something but if they are going to make it so easy to get, they might as well just give it to everyone for free...
imho
heh sorry, i had to say it ![]()

as far as difficulty, would you rather they set it up to be badge related, you get a visit from some 'Old Musician' after some random ammount of time that gives you a note that you have to keep safe from agressive fans who spawn eventually that drop a data disk that point you to where the fans are coming from, you have to go play for them till they get satisfied then get access to the 'City of Notes' and have to do 16 quests followed by grinding out 145,600,000 music exp to fill some new music related trees for the new song? lets not even get into the quest of the instrument if you got them to make it like that
that sound more like what you want?
It sounds better than havingglorified newbie droids called Theater Managers who give out newbie quests with new numbers put in.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they're giving us something, but in terms of content it doesn't seem to add much for us. I'm also looking back at previous Dev posts about this and reading newsongs and dances. I don't see the plural in the test announcement....
If you read the official TC thread about this, one of the combat types mentioned that they can't wait to see the casino...I'm pretty sure they have these quests confused with the Hutt Casino--another idea that has been put aside in favor of Jedi, Jedi wannabes, JTL, and Combat.
Again, I'm really happy this is being put in, but please don't confuse this with Entertainers getting attention and content. It seems like little more than a pacifier to me.
