I can't really argue with that - unfortunately...

I'd like to get that new song just as much as anybody, but I really can't see them put out song and dance separately, and I also think they shouldn't, but should rather fix the dance first. However, I wouldn't bet a lot on that actually happening - they'll probably just push it to live anyway in a week or two without even looking at it again on TC in the meantime. After all, if they would successfully fix the new dance, that would be some kind of admission that Formal and Lyrical are fixable too, and we can't have that, now can we?

FWIW, and it's probably been said before, the brokenness of the new dance and of lyrical/formal are quite possibly the same core problem in the code. If this is the case, the devs aren't likely to see it as "introducing a new dance with bugs" but "introducing a dance that suffers from existing bugs." And I wouldn't put it past them to not think that it's a showstopper in terms of putting it on live, since it's a bug that's on live already, as they see it. They probably shouldn't have created a new dance that relied on the buggy code, or they should have fixed it, but I wouldn't get your hopes up on them deciding to hold back until they fix it if they haven't fixed it already.
Of course, all that is moot if it's not really the same core problem.

I believe the devs recognize that there are some issues with the base steps of the new dance. I don't know if that will delay our song for that much longer. I don't know whether the dance is inextricably tied to the song or not.

As far as I can tell, our song (and its quests) are ready to go live.

true.......

what's funny to me is how they selectively use the excuse ~"When the TC code gets pushed live, it all gets pushed live... we cannot push some of it live and leave some of it only on TC"

and yet, they often do just that with stuff pertaining to entertainers.........

Thinking about it more, it seems to me the Dancer and Musician quests are pretty inextricably linked. The theater manager asks you early on whether you're auditioning as a Dancer or a Musician. To push that to Live with the dancer portion disabled sounds like trouble to me.

Incidentally, I've been working on Dancer on Test Center so that I can test the dance part of the quests, and the dance itself. Above and beyond the call of duty! Maybe this will earn me brownie points with Panthu.

Come now you know they are not going to fix the base dance of that. All this time and they haven't fixed the other dances there is NO WAY they are going to fix this one.
