Thread: What kind of droid combo's do you like?

just currous on what kinda droid/module combo's you like..
how many play backs, what kinda effects you use most.
I dont do custom orders but i like to have a nicely stocked vendor, soo this will help give me some good idea's what you like.
You can also tell me types you have ordered in the past : )

Darn it! You beat me to it! I needed to ask the same thing. I'm trying to have an Entertainer-focused shop on Starsider, and I need to know what kinds of droids to stock.
For those performers who don't know, the little clear-domed Advanced R3 unit can hold a total of 6 modules, the Advanced Probot 5, the Advanced Binary Load Lifter 3 and most of the others can hold 2 or 3.
Is there a body (chassis) type you like best? (I personally love the DZ70, as it's a floating ballwith the same look as an Arrakyd probe droid. And it's quiet, unlike the Probot. But it can only hold 2 modules total.

)Do you want one droid with all 6 effects, another with 6 playbacks, one with a weapon/general item crafting station in it for making instruments (& schematics), ones with the max of 10 storage (at least for me until I get the Lidium Extrusive Ore, that takes up two module slots), are there many performers who are also Merchants with Advertising 4 who would want barker droids, performers who would like a stimpack dispensing droid (requires you have Pharmacology 4 in Medic to load the stim A'sin) so you can get healing during performing, are there lots of performers who do resource mining and would like the Interplanetary Survey Droids.... These are all the things I've seen that my alt can make that I thought might benefit Entertainers.
If you only got 3 effects, which are your three favorites? I like Electric Fog and Avians most, with maybe Confetti and Mindbloom tieing for 3rd.
Give us some ideas!

i have 2 droids, 1 with 2 playback and 4 effects and the other has 6 playback tracks... i like the 6 playback droid MUCH better for the varrious songs i have in it, 6 songs, same instrument so i can use the /bandflourish <instument> commands i keep hotkeyed

Right now I'm using a 1 playback 5 stim dispensor module R3. Its very useful in case there aren't any medics around for keeping me and the rest of the group playing (or at least minimizing downtime since you do have to stop to request heals from the droid). I'll probably end up making a new one with 3 stimpack modules and 3 playback modules since its annoying only being able to store 1 song.

I prefer a 6 playback module droid. Otherwise I'm constantly having to rerecord or switch droids (which means leaving the cantina).

yea, I tend not to use it when I'm just in the cantina playing... I'm extremely cheap.

I have to admit I'm addicted. Of course it helps that the guild chef has built a booming business so I get a decent discount

Great question...
My personal IDEA (BUT DAMN THE BEAVER, I havnt been able to find a DE in like 3 months now!! WHERE ARE THEY ALL????) is to have a droid with 4 playbacks, 1 dancing jawa, and a storage unit for battaries. (DANCING JAWA'S FTW!!)
I also like having the idea of one with 5 effects and sotrage. That would be my second droids
Now..if only I could find a darn DE!!!

Send an email to Ackers he is very reasonable and very quick. Our guild is located 1000k outside Keren and I'm often at Theed cantina if you ever want to chat or jam.

The two droids I use each have 6 playback modules.
But then I personally don't care much for the effects. They're alright and all, but nothing I'd want to spend a module on.
Anyways, if the info is helpful, I use one for all bass tracks (currently bandfill, but as soon as I get my Ommni Box back, I'll be re-recording them with the Ommni), and another for various instruments.

Awsome, I sent him an email, I hope he can help. Thank you much for the info.
As for jamming, latley I just tend to spend most of my time in my cantina in Apotheon (on naboo), but maybe ill venture out again soon.

What hours eastern time are you usually on? There is a small but fairly dedicated group of us that all mastered within the same week. We tend to group up and have a blast. Maybe we could all come visit your place one evening
