Ok, text message speech aside, here's the rundown. Tarot kind of already said it.
The Dual Wave Synthesizer is used in making a droid component called a Playback Module. This Playback Module can only be added to a droid by a Droid Engineer, and ONLY upon CREATION of the droid. In other words, the moment it's crafted. You can't add anything to an existing droid.
Playback Modules are only usable by someone with at least Novice Musician. Record the track onto the droid, then start the droid playing and group with it. Startmusic, and then start doing /bandflourish 1 or whatever flourish you want to do. Your droid will perform the flourish.
Let's say you recorded starwars1 on slitherhorn. You could make the droid, and only the droid, flourish by typing:
/bandflourish 1 slitherhorn
Provided, of course, you're not playing a slitherhorn too - otherwise both you and the droid will flourish.
