There is an unload command but it isn't what you think. It empties the text file instead of memory. Also the load command sets the active file so when you do a /save it writes to the last file loaded. I've lost a couple of tunes finding this out. The only way I know to get rid of the actual aliases is to /unalias each one.

To my knowledge the only surefire way of clearing the buffer without deleting your aliases is to disconnect from game and reload. A pain in the arse, but it works

Seems you can load mutliple .txt files and play aliases from them all. Is there a command that will wipe the buffer that holds the loaded .txt files?
Expiring mind needs to know....

Are you editing your text file in game?

When you create aliases in game with the /alias command or drop them with /unalias and then do a /save it will update your alias file. If you have done a /load then that file becomes the target for the /save command. Issuing /save will write all current aliases out to the target file. Its great for keeping your aliases.txt file current with any new aliases you might write on the fly from the command line. It really ruins a nice single song alias file if you forget to reset your target with /load before doing /save.

Since I use a lot of self modifying aliases, pretty much any file I /load will be written to. For this reason, after every /load, I do a /save dummy.txt. I never /load dummy.txt so it is basically just an alias black hole.
