As a Master Musician, you will always double (more if you have +mind enhance loot) the patron's base Focus and Willpower. If their F&W is 400, you will buff it to 800.

Unfortunately, there is no visible timer. An Entertainer buff interface has been requested many times, but as we get no direct feedback from the Devs, and NJ is bound by the rules of NonDisclosure (it's ok, NJ. We know how frustrating it must be), we have no idea if the Devs are even curious as to our concerns.

There are some great posts in this forum, including the Patented Quickie Buff that can give you a good idea of how long you need to perform for the full effect of the buff. At that point, we don't even know if the buff is complete, we have to take the patron's word that they followed directions, and the buff took hold.

The strength of your buff is determined by your Musical Mind Enhancement skill (you can see it in the skills window with ctrl-s among your other skill mods). The number represents the percentage of the buffee's focus and willpower that will be added to their stats.
Your skill mod for this increases as you go up the Musical Techniques line in musician. At novice, you can give a 10% buff, at music tech I 20%, at music tech II 30%, at music tech III 50%, at music tech IV 75% and at master 100%.
So for a person with 1000 base focus and willpower buffed by someone with:
Novice: 1000 => 1100
Music Tech I: 1000 => 1200
Music Tech II: 1000 => 1300
Music Tech III: 1000 => 1500
Music Tech IV: 1000 => 1750
Master Musician: 1000 => 2000

That's the "Patent Pending Fragpuppie Uber 3:10 QuickBuff". I'm still waiting on the devs to grant the patent. Last I heard it was to go through "sometime after JTL"

Thanks for correcting me.

That should be a set, ready made macro that is granted when you earn novice dancer/musician. Acutally, make it a Skill with it's own unique icon.

Well fett, we actually did get some sort of public reply to the devs on our request for a timer or some other indication that the buffee has received the buff. The reply indicated that the devs...misunderstood our question. We asked: we want to see whether the recipient received our buff. They answered: the recipient can see by looking at their buff HUD. We tried to reply: yeah, but *we* can't see whether our buff worked; we have to rely on the recipient to tell us. They replied: they didn't reply. Not publicly, anyway.
