Thread: OT Bug help

Ok I need help figuring out where to list a bug, and I know some of you are all through the different forums. I'll also mention the bug here in case any of you know a workaround or have experienced this. I and another encounterd a bug at Nym's last night. Did Jinkins' quest, but Kole spoke to me as though I had already done his quest. Nym however would not give me his quest. Relogging did not work and server reset did not work. Is there a work around? What forum should I post this in? I DID submit a ticket but I've heard that quest bugs still get posted somewhere.

I think you did about all you can do by bugging it in game. I suppose you could post about it on the Test Center Forum. A few people have some threads about the bug/s in the game Guide Forum, so maybe there as well?

I haven't had a chance to test this out yet, but a workaround I was told about from another who experienced it is you can just go to the final quest location and get the items in question and drag/drop them to Nym and get credit for the quest.

No, no, NO! Please don't post there! It willnot get dev attention.

Places to post are the

"In Live" bug threads or

(if on TC still) the "In Testing" bug threads.

Also use /bug (not the customer support ticket tool).

We have had confirmation from JustG that the bug threads and /bug entries are ALL reviewed the NEXT DAY. They may not have a fix for it, but they will be able to record it.

Oh, and been a while since I did Nym's (too busy on beta and not got a toon in a position to do it again right now) but the last couple of update notes have referred to fixes. Might be worth just trying it again.

I searched exhaustively for an answer to our friends problem and I was unable to find even a thread to post it in besides in the Game guide and I knew it would not be seen there, so as I, a vet here, was unable to find an answer for her, and she had already pointed out she made a ticket on it ( I assumed a bug report ), I mentioned the Test Center Forum because you can not start posts in the "In Live, In Development, or In Testing forums, only add to the current thread started by the Devs.

Thank you for using such a large font to let us all know that we should not be posting in the Test Center thread.

Have a nice day

P.S. Nym's has been "fixed" at least as far as the Jinkins conversation is concerned.

Yes, originally I used /bug to send the report. the day before yesterday I logged in again. Still bugged. I went also to get the gas and then Nym's stuff. Talking to Kole he took the stuff without me having to drop it on him and the same for Nym. So I got my work around, but not sure if it was fixed fixed. At least I am good to go Thanks for the info and the help

Sorry, was the end of a long day. And the TC forum is a galaxy forum it doesn't get read by Devs (it's annoying enough that we who play there can barely communicate witheach otherthere asking where the frogs are - most of don't bother and use a separate forum for uninterrupted communication).

If you have issues that you can't find an answer for the /bug tool or the bug threads (In Live / In Testing) are the places.

JustG has confirmed that every day(well working day) there is a review of the threads for new things.

Oh, and hope you have a nice day too

I'm wondering whether there's a Correspondent who could raise this on your behalf. I'm interested because that same bug has bitten one of my city-mates. The poor guy is trying to get those five content badges required for becoming Force Sensitive, and this one is obviously one of the easier ones.

/ponders

If there were a Carbineer Correspondent, I might point you to him, because the reward is a carbine, no? But I think we're between Carbineer Correspondents. Maybe the GCW Correspondent? Or even the Jedi Correspondent (since this is now a component of getting FS?) Maybe post in the FS Forum? I don't really see a Music link, but I'd be willing to raise it with the Powers that Be informally if we can't think of anyone more appropriate.
