While attempting to express a creative idea during a performance rehearsal, an argument erupted between myself and Voce, one of the GLs of Bloodfin's new entertainment guild <ENT>. My perception was that he was trying to turn a performance, for one of the most important events in our server's history, into a "McDonald's Happy Meal" while I've worked hard to create performances more in line with a fine dining experience. One of his last comments to me was "You don't want to mess with me".
In rebuttal, I have challenged Voce to a BATTLE OF THE BANDS.
With this, I invite all dedicated performance professions for their participation. Performers, dance and music routines, costuming, effects, directors and any other ideas are all welcome.
To keep this post alive, comments are welcome, but interest to participate, ideas etc. should be sent via server or cross server emails (notice uppercase letters and period between server and name in email address) to: Bloodfin.Punky

As it turned out, Voce took my place at the performance. I have to admit, the Dancers were FABULOUS....the band...well....when I opened the "Happy Meal" there was but half a bag of fries and an empty bun..
Voce, PLEASE don't tell me that's the best you could do. 5 piece band, 4 in constant static flourish and Voce alone soloing on Nal for the entire wedding performance.....

Oh hell, we're not going to have (ENT) drama are we?
Besides, we all know music is just background noise for the lyrics.

Hey Bim,
Been looking for you online. You're a hard fellow to catch. And about (ENT) drama...top secredt info...this has been a pilot program for the new SWG soap, The Young And The Aimless.
I have to say Bim, of all the entertainers I've contacted and talked with, you're in the top percentile for creative genius, right under me that is =)
Battle of the Bands Challenge update:
Still no word from Voce.

Yeah, been a week since I've been on. Moved my family to a new house, and our net connection was out for a few days, then lately I've been busy/tired come nightfall. I really wanted to be there for the wedding last night, but I was zoned. I should be on tonight, quite possibly ready to debut my newreggae smash "No Jedi, No Grind".

If you haven't seen X-The Video start here:
"Punky packed his bags as quickly as he could and ran to the Starport. There, he DESPERATELY tried to find a way to the BRIA Galaxy"

Well...
It's been 5 days since I declared my challenge to Voce. Though I've seen him log on and off many times since. I have yet to receive any communication from him accepting or decliningthe challenge. However, Idid receive a tell from Ariadne, also GL for <ENT>, asking if I've received any responses from other musicians interested in participating.
<Punky pushes aside all the email trying to see his keyboard>
I'm sorry Ariadne, though I think highly of you and love you dearly, that's top secret information.
So...
I'm wondering, should I just let the post disappear into the anals of the Musician Forum and pretend that it never happened? Should I declare myself Victor through default? Should I keep pestering Voce like a festering splinter in his heal to accept? ...

Well, I'll beat you, but my schedule is very erratic. I don't say yes or no to events until the date is ironed out.

Uh...Bim...I challenged Voce, but if you wanna be in his band, I'm sure it would be MUCH more of a challenge for me to win.

It read like an open challange to all comers. Wise to back down; my kung fu has no equal.
What I can't grasp is why we entertainers are bickering. We're all together in this sinking ship of a profession, and we should be bailing water together instead of splashing each other. We're getting sucked into the sucka-foo mentality of Bloodfin, when we should be setting the example. We get everyone together and we're golden.

Punky,
Quite simply, I wish you well whether you remain on Bloodfin or continuein your pursuit of the musical life onBria and I applaud your dedication, if not your level of tact! Bim iscorrect - the bickering between entertainers in useless, fruitless and boring. We had, and will continue to have, a difference of opinion and I choose toview it as nothing more than that.
Best wishes...
