I am a master musician on starsider and have been for some time. The only goal i have left is to have my own cantina and to try and make the best of it my ideas for the musician prof are as follows:
1. MORE POST MASTER CONTENT!!!! once someone masters musician we can finally use the nalagron and play virtuoso. That isnt much for someone to stick around as a master.
2. New content all together- i recomend back-up band members. It was just brought to my attention that there is a new policy vs. large groups and a solo person playing has very little to do. i suggest back-up band mates. obviously put a cap on the number that one player could have (i.e. 3) and treat them as vendor/playback modules. This was you could dress them like you for the band aspect as well as give them parts and insturments. This would give a master musician the ability to have a band all to himself. I am not against player bands, just trying to add some content.
3. New instruments and songs, part of this is being fixed with pub. 10.2, but we do need more, i would like to take the opportunity to thank the devs right now for this new content, but at the same time i cant imagine being a player for a year now wth nothing new. I would also like to ask for the devs NEVER to make anything musician a loot drop, there are those of us who do not do combat and most of the content in this game has to do with loots. Please dont drag out prof. into all that.
4.BUFFS!!! On my server i charge 8k, i was tipped 8k on the very first buff i ever gave and have kept that price since. i was told it is fair and that players shouldnt have a prob paying it. BUT we dont even know if our buff worked successfully, which leads to players stealing our services, it isnt like we are the most over-paid prof. in the game. which leads to my last suggestion.
5. Money issues. We have got to be the poorest in the game. we cant sell anything really, and buffing is minimal. i suggest that we be allowed to create objects similar to the duel wave synthisizer. i cant really think of anything specific, but atleast some way of income.
thanks for everyones time, and if you see an idea similar to yours i did not steal it, or if you think you had the idea first- the credit is yours.
thanks again Ockeo, Master musician, Starsider

All good ideas. You might consider formulating your "Top 5" issues too, and putting them in the top-five thread. Also, think about posting these ideas in the brainstorming thread sticki'ed in this forum. I point the devs to it regularly. I dunno how often it's actually read by a dev, but if any thread is, that one is.

On your last suggestion, one common proposal is some sort of entertainer-crafted holostim that is used to heal mind damage. But the medical professions (or at least their Correspondents) fiercely oppose giving us any role in healing mind damage (as oppose to mind wounds or BF). Another common proposal is a crafted "portable recording" that might be used to heal wounds or BF in the field, but this one draws mixed reviews among Musicians, some of whom fear that it might undermine the cantina.
The most obvious fix, one we've asked for repeatedly, is a clear indication on *OUR* screen whether our buff has "taken" or not. Perhaps the combat rebalance will make the result of our buff more obvious in some way, since HAM bars will work differently, but in the meantime I sure wish they'd give us a simple indication on our HUD.

Maybe allow us to have upto 4 slots for them but charge us 600K Music XPto open eachslot for them? Then as a Master Musician you still have to work for your content, it would also help to address point 1 of not encoraging people to stick around after getting Master Musician.
It would be nice to get a new song or instrument every few (3 or so)months (This would also probably increase Master Musician retention), but from what I have heard it doesn't seem very likely. Hopefully they will release the new song soon though! *crosses fingers and goes off to find some wood to touch*

I'd always been hoping for a Grandmaster Musician profession that might not cost many more skill points (maybe zero), but only available to Master Musicians. In my fantasies, there are 16 new boxes to fill, each with a new song. Maybe quests as well. Hey, a guy can dream, right?

Maybe we could also geta factional songs or instrumant that grants a +25 bonus when buffing Overt members of your faction.
How could it work?
1) You need to be a member of your faction.
2) You could either need to spend say 4000 Faction points to buy it, or maybe have a quests such as those for the new song on Test Centre but instead of playing in a guild theatre you need to play infront of the troops to help with their morale, and instead of just getting any 10, 20, or 30 playersto watch you you need to get your faction members to watch you.
3) When you have the song you learn it into the Novice Musician Box, you can play it as long as you remain a member of the faction you got the song from.
If this was to happen should playing the song/instrument give you a TEF while playing it and for a short time after stopping (say 1 minute?) This would probably stop the buff bots from ever using it, after all they wouldn't want to find themselves in the cloning centre all the time!
If itwas an instrument should it be craftable, i.e. you get the ability to craft a new instrument that any Novice Musician of your faction can paly? Should you be able yo sell/give it away? Ifitwas not craftable should it decay on death?

One idea i just had, something like a backup band member/playback droid: Make it where you can have a humaniod type droid that will actually play an instrument. It would be funny to see C3PO jamming on a Mando.
