My understanding from what I read from a dev interview about JtL on some web site (I forget where) is that in order for people to be on the same ship they have to be in a group and take off from the same place. So, while that would make this a neat ship for private parties, it will be worthless as a space cantina. In fact, all ships will be unless they allow you to dock in space somehow.
Of course, no one can either confirm or deny any of this because anyone who knows anything is legally bound not to say anything (I am not in the beta, I did not even apply.) Makes me wonder how bad the expansion must be if less than a month before the supposed release date they are so paranoid anyone will find out about anything they still have the muzzles on and they are trying to bribe us to preorder with ground game trinkets. /shrug

For all of you who are worrying about performing in space and having "space cantinas," check out the latest Friday Feature...
The main floor is pretty much a cantina. It also has a bar, as shown in the bottom picture.
Yeah, you can't get it unless you've played for 6 consecutive months.
Yeah, that's kind of a slap in the face.
But personally, I like it and think it's really neat. And at least we get something.

You made my heart stop a good 3 seconds when you said ent'er would need 200k xp. But the ship does look VERY nice, too bad i cant get it since ive only been on 3 months.

It might not be a true cantina, but it's the closest thing until boardable space platforms are put in.

Well im in JTL beta and I can tell you tha... *Insert sound of glass breaking and a tranq dart thudding into the back of Skuzz's neck*...
Seriously tho that Ship is amazing looking, i cant wait to decorate it. Im gonna do it just like a spacebound version of my ground cantina, just for giggles.
You get it as a reward for being a 6 month vet but sadly if your a entertainer you have to pay an "additonal" 200k xp charge to activate it. 8) (<--- Joke!) hehehe...

This is a multi-person ship. Does anyone know if a novice pilot will even be able to use it or will we have to work our way up and possibly give up other skills to even be able to use this?

The yacht has been kept from Beta Testers, as far as I know. No one has any idea where the "cert" for it will be, but I doubt you'll need to advance in Pilot to get it.

One would think we wouldn't have to buy our quest rewards either . SOE will do whatever they think will keep people in the game the longest. I have a bad feeling that it will be a higher cert. At least mid level.

The ship is non-upgradable with no weapons, and it can't take damage. As assuredly as I can say it (since there has been no "official" confirmation), I see no reason whythey would put ina cert for it.It really wouldn't make sense and would be pretty unfair to people who are looking forward to JTL for content other than space grinding.
