First of all, I do apologize, it's people like me who have made your profession annoying for some, Wether it be AFK buffbots, or fighting in cantina's, etc.
(Posted on Dancer board, but looking for moe opinions)

Honestly at the time I didn't think anything of it, Till I (some how) got grouped with a bunch of Ents in a cantina and they were doing a routine, it was very cool. Nice to see people still having a blast in this prof (it was my wifes first mastered prof, I laughed and asked why? You can't fight with that. YAY ME I got to empty the cat litter that night).

Anyway...

I have some honest questions, I'm not here for flames, or for a debate on things.

1) Inspiration buff? I can't find info on there ANYWHERE (searched came up with some discussions how it works, but not what it is)

2) Yes, I'm evil, I have an alt tailor/Dancer/Politician who runs my guilds city. Is there *ANY* point (yes I honestly would rather have a live ent sit in our cantina 24/7 [our guild is a world wide guild, people in almost every country so when I'm not on I leave her AFK dancing, cause people are just getting up when I'm heading to be]) to having a Dancer, or a musician alt after CU? (I know some would rather say no, just to have me cancel so a live ent gets someone watching them, But I want an honest opinion).

3) I've heard, macroing Dancer/musician (or actually just about anything) is now gone with CU also

4) How, as a guild leader, would I attract some Ents into my guild? Remember, my guild is heavly pvp setup. 120 Characters, spread across 40-50 people.

15-20 PvP daily, 10-15 more do a lot PvE/crafting, and the rest are crafting only.

Not sure, someone else may have this info for you.

For healing battle fatigue, I'd say yeah, that'd be useful. Bear in mind though that not just PvPers and hunters play across the world, there are ents in every timezone. I know I have NEVER had a problem finding a live entertainer when I need one, its just a matter of knowing where to look or ask. Does your server have an ENT chat channel? If not, maybe you should start one. If so, use it. Tell your guild and citizens to use it. A quick "hi, I have some wicked BF, is there an ent that can heal me?" posed in the channel will almost always yield results. Half the time the response will be "sure, where are you?" and the ent will come to you, the other half will be "sure, I'm in ____" and voila! you no longer need to use a bot, you have the location of a happy to serve live entertainer.

I would start by going to cantinas and interacting with the live ents you find there. Offer to take them with you on hunts, provide them with things they need, etc. You'd probably be surprised that most of us, while we enjoy cantinas and the friends we have there, would love to actually go out there and see what's what in the galaxy. Speaking for myself, I know I'm just not suited for combat so I need bodyguards in more dangerous places. Give me a groupchat and a camp or small temporary buildingto dance/play for you though, near where you're hunting and I will usually be pretty happy to heal. Support the live ents and they usually will support you.

1. It gives a % bonus to your weapons and combat xp and a btter success rate on crafting rolls. I am not sure exactly what the % is now.

2. I am definitely keeping my Entertainer alt after the CU. She is a fun and interesting character to play, and fun is the point of the game.

3. ? That would be cool.

4. People who play entertainers are no different from any other player. I have a MID/MEntertainer/NMusician/TKA on Wanderhome and she keeps up with her guild pretty well, and all we do is combat. She has more high-danger badges than my Master Rifleman/Ranger and it is completely because she is in a guild who did things and were willing to include me. Enjoyed my company. Sometimes guilds and events are just about fun and participation and not necessarily having everyone be the best all the time. If you are active, have events, and invite the Entertainer characters to the events the same way you would invite anyone else to join people will be interested in joining your guild. Even if it is only to watch a PvP event take place and not actually participate.

When Tash, my MID, only had unarmed 2 we got involved in a friendly guild war with another guild. If no one else was online I would sneak around and look for red dots on my radar. It was exciting. If one of my guildies was online I always had an escourt/protection if I wanted one. We all had a blast. They had no problems involving a non-com in the fun because we were friends, and heck, it was fun. Just last weekend my unbuffed and unarmored MID got all the way down to the bottom of the Geo cave to help kill the Ackley. I can safely say everyone involved had a great time. With that awesome guild as her support I would send her up against the Death Watch Bunker or a group of overt imperials any day. And have a heck of a lot of fun doing it.

So really the question is not, how do you attract social players? It is how good is your guild? Do you like to have fun? Do you like to interact and have group activities? If so you should have no problems.

Inpiration buffs, in the last version on TC gave a 5% bonus to XP and faction, and an incresed chance of crafting success. In testing I did not see XP bonuses for crafting and the XP bonus for entertaining is there, but ungetable because you are not inspired until after you /stopwatch or /stoplisten and we are always watching or listening to ourselves. I do believe that all other XP now gets the XP bonus.

There are still reasons why one may want the alt character, however all the current functionality can be gotten from any entertainer grinding in Theed or Coronet, it just may take longer. The BF healing provided and the quality of the inspire are the same, but a Master can do both much faster than a novice Entertainer

3) I've heard, macroing Dancer/musician (or actually just about anything) is now gone with CU also

There are some new wrinkles in the commands for entertaining (/b no longer works for /bandflourish, /tenddamage is no longer a command), however all macros seem to still work 100%. Not that they are needed as one does not need to flourish to heal BF or inspire

4) How, as a guild leader, would I attract some Ents into my guild? Remember, my guild is heavly pvp setup. 120 Characters, spread across 40-50 people.

15-20 PvP daily, 10-15 more do a lot PvE/crafting, and the rest are crafting only.

Others have spoken to this, but as they said...same way you attract anyone else. Live events may be the one thing that ents do focus on, that and RP

Haha priceless ^^
For the question about the use to keep a performer character after the CU, here is my opinon: I honestly think that a buffbot isnt worth the trouble anymore, but I think it may be still much interesting for simple pure fun What I mean by that is that it could be that the cantina's come back the way they were before the Holo grind and the entertainer buffs, while entertainers were just people who wanted to play an entertainer.
Who knows? that can become interesting (Anyway I must be honnest and say that I didn't know that particular period at the start of the game as when I came in, the holo grind and the buffing had already started, just read what 'ancients' told bout it )
