In order for SOE to port this to the PS2, they've had to dumb down our PC game. Reasoning for the 'cartoony' look/feel to our game now.

The PS2 has the lowest graphic card of any platform out there, not to mention the fact that the graphic card, not the CPU does most of the processing for the system... so instead of upping the technology in the PS2, or even releasing a newer version of it. We PCers get slammed into having our game play and look lowered so SOE can make the almighty dollar.

My question is? Wasn't 18mil a month enough for you?

Oh please stop with that link, it has already been said that it's a pure hoax

The project developpement of SWG for console has been abandonned for long

That ad's ancient. E3 hasn't happened yet for 2005. SWG *was* considered for the ps2/xbox treatment more than two years ago, before the game we're playing now even went live. Besides, Sony's about to announce the PS3 (yes, three). I'll bet THAT beast can't even handle all the crap our videocards have to put up with in Coronet on a busy night...

Yes that is an old add but if you do a search on it you will see that what the add calls E3 did happen back in 03 hence the 3 lol. Theres a write up in an interview with soe, you can find with a search.

True for the time, yes. However for the purpose of this thread it is not true. The thread is presenting it as current, as an explanation of why the CU is happening. So if it was true at the time isn't really at issue. It's if it's true now that matters, which it isn't.

like I said it is true but for that time period

not to argue lol since I agree, I never said it is true today lol

just want people to see the e3 thing wasn't in reference to today and isn't a hoax but plans that were scrubbed in 03. a history lesson if you will lol.
