As I hang out in cantinas more and more, I find that I get into manysituations where sound effects could really enhance the experience. Some examples:
springy BOINGGG! sound
Riimshot, cymbal crash - for jokes.
Wah-wah trumpet - for lame jokes.
Whip crack - certain remarks concerning male / female relations.
but they don't always have to be humor related. If we just take a look at the holoemotes, we can draw many more ideas:
Spooky
Electricity
something Flowery
Pucker up...kiss
and then there are just some radio staples:
Suction...POP! (which is strikingly similar to pucker up, kiss)
something Shattering
something Crunching
and I hope you get the idea by now.
Of course there would have to be certain features:
- Sound effects should be ambient.
- Sound effects should be ignorable.
and more blah blah technicalities.
I apologize if there has already been extended discussion concerning such sound effects, but I think the idea warrants another look, especially since thereare supposed to be entertainer improvements coming.

I really liked the addition of a sound to /clap, and I would be ecstatic if some of these could be done as well.
Especially the pucker/kiss, the wah-wah, and the rim shot.
On a side note, I would be interested if some sort of in-game "effect pedal" could be done to influence musical instrument sounds. There are so many distinct and fun things that could be done with this...overdrive on a nalargon, a nice crybaby on a traz, or maybe even a flanger on the ommni!
While it would be tough to manage the perfect match for an individual's style, that is something that could relatively easily be done (just slide the current sound samples through a variety of filters), and it would make us SO happy to have things to distinguish ourselves from the garden-variety bots.
My personal choice? A nice bluesy crunch to my mandoviol...or maybe that aforementioned crybaby.
What do you think, Aleyo? Any chance something like either of these could be passed on to the devs?

These are some great ideas! I'll toss them up and see if I can garner some interest
(and throw in a reminder that we always like more music).
