if you flourish 2 times with a 10sec period, you get DBL exp. Also you gain more in large bands, when people watch, and so on.

I highly recommend you visit the Entertainer forum and read the stickified thread at the top, Entertainment for the Aspiring Jedi. Even if you're not pursuing music (or dance) at the behest of a little blue (or red) cube, it's still chock-full of good advice and basic explainations.

The amount of music experience you get depends on what song or instrument you're playing, whether or not you're in a group with other actively performing entertainers, how many audience members are watching you or your group, and whether or not they're applauding, clapping or cheering you. Also, as Bluesbakka said, flourish two times back-to-back every 'tick' (10 seconds) for maximum experience. If you're putting it into a macro, I personally recommend an 8 or 9 second pause. This can quickly wear you out if you don't have pretty good Quickness & Stamina. Doctor enhancements to either of those stats really help. (You don't need buffs for all your green stats to play non-stop...just either Quickness or Stamina.)

Yes, not all flourishes are created equal. If you flourish quickly twice in a row, you'll get close to full XP, but then you'll see diminishing returns. Optimally you should space your flourishes out a bit for the most efficient ratio of XP to action use. And yes, the size of your band and audience influence Music and heal XP.

also dont forget to migrate your stats to make all the "green bar's" as high as you can. but one thing not mentioned here... while you get "perfect xp" doing the method's posted in your macro I HIGHLY suggest that you work on making your macro sound like a song to you and sound good to you. You have a long grind to go and part of the fun is making the music. So I encourage you focus on that so its more fun for you and the xp will come as well... hell i can spend hours tweeking a macro to make just the right sound i want in and out of a band. Its part of the "performer" aspect. Also i suggest that while the highest song gives the best xp or highest instrament, take the time to take requests... your tips will be better your fun will increase and they will clap and cheer for you which will lots of times make up for the xp reduction via the song or instrament.

The flourishing macro I use issues about 40 flourishes before it recalls itsself, with pauses ranging from 4 seconds to 8 seconds. It's important that you don't make this macro too short, because even at 40 flourishes I can recognise by sound when it starts to repeat. Repetition is teh suck. Don't drive yourself nuts.

Test out your flourishing macro so that at the end of the macro, when it's about to call itself, you're still at max Action pool. You can lose all you want during the macro, just so long as you don't lose action pool overall throughout the course of it. This will allow you to never worry about your pool.

But, you might want to make a few macros for different songs that just sound good. For these, sound is the key, and Action loss isn't.

Your flourishes last 4 seconds for the most part. Some songs have 6 second stanzas, so count em out as you play to test when you might need to make a macro for a different song.

On stat migration: Quickness and Stamina are KEY. You don't need Action pool anywhere near as much as you need your secondary stats. The main bonus you get from having a high Action is you can lose more of your pool without having to stop playing. This isn't much of a concern.
