Thread: pick up my omni box?

Ok I started playing on my omni box, but what do I do it now. When I stop playing I can't pick it up or anything, so what does it just sit there? Or what do i do with it?

There is no option to pick it up, but you if you walk away from it, it will disappear into your inventory.

ah okay thanks, because I asked someone and they said they just destroyed it.

If it's in a structure you have admin in, you can pick it up the usual way. It will even appear in your inventory for a few seconds until the game realizes it is "out of range" and makes it poof.
Anywhere else.. Just walk away from it.

yeah, its something like 10-15 meters and it goes back to your dpad... i had alot of fun with afkers like this back when i was still in coronet...

I had something happen to me today that suprised me.
I was playing my box in a camp (Anyone else think it's funny when you pull out a nalargon in a basic camp?) and when I finished, I thought about this thread, so typed /pickup. And it worked.

/pickup works?! Oh my, I'll have to try that. It's quite annoying to run around like a crazy person when you're trying to wheel the nalargon offstage to make room for the next act.

Hey, I tried /pickup in a cantina in which I don't have admin, and it didn't work. I still had to scamper around the room to remove my nalargon from the stage.

yeah... i really hate running around in circles like some sort of injured gubber...had to do that today when my tailor friend showed up with some new clothes for me... he thought i was drunk

I noticed the lack of a pick-up option just recently, after taking up entertainer again.
I'm certain that they used to have a pick-up option, back in beta my wookiee entertainer used to play his everywhere.
