Thread: I don't quite understand the pause 30 seconds after double flourish
If you have Novice Medic , you *might* make more xp if you flourish your butt off every 10 seconds til you run out, then stand (which happens almost instantaneously, versus /stopmusic, which takes a while), sit, tend damage every 10 seconds a few times 'til you're hopefully going to be all full up, stand up, wait 10 seconds, start playing again...repeat. That'd be:
/startm [song];/flo #;/flo#;/pause 9; [repeat flourishes and pauses 'til you run out of action] /st;/pause 2;/sit;/tendd;/pause 10; [repeat a couple times, possibly increase the pause time to 15 seconds to allow you to regen mind between healing] /st;/pause 10;/ui action toolbarSlot##;
Obviously that's a general sort of guideline example. And I don't know if it's more efficient than just pausing 30 seconds between flourish pairs.
Now, I have seen macros that show the double flourish and then /pause 30. I can't figure out how this is supposed to maximize XP if you're only doing to flourishes every 30 seconds. If XP comes every ten seconds, shouldnt you try to get two flourishes in every ten seconds, which would be 6 flourishes every 30 seconds?
Why waste 20 seconds on a pause when you could be getting more flourishes in?
I'm sure the stated way is right, I have seen many references to it, but I don't understand it. Can someone please explain why you should do two flourishes and pause 30 seconds?
You can wrack your brain on timing everything just right to get the perfect balance of xp and action burn, but if you just migrate quickness and stamina as high as your race allows it gets alot less complicated. I set qui to 800, sta to 700. As human I may well have been able to go higher, but that seems to get the job done quite well for me.
