Thread: The Three Master Musicians!

to clear up any confusion, allow me to explain the three "Master Musician" professions currently in-game:
1. Bandfill Back-Up Master Musician - this is what you are if you master the Musician profession. the unauthorized, patently fabricated description is, "The Master Musician has attained a really darn high level of musical competency and can play most of the instruments and nearly all the songs!"

as a Bandfill Back-Up Master Musician, your role is to play the percussion and bass lines while the lower level players gronk away on their horns. now *if* there is another bandfill player, you *are* permitted to play one of the horn lines (slith or fizz) if one is missing from the group, or on occasion, your nalargon if you can stand the targetting limitation.
*please be advised:*playing the nalargon for any extended period of time is *only* permitted if the other three instrument lines are covered. the nalargon line is far too thin and blonky to be played without lots of other sounds to fill it in. you have been warned.
and when playing solo... well, mostly you'll still be playing your bandfill. it sounds full andinteresting no matter what song you play. there is no targetting limitation. it has a cool poplock-type animation. it's the convenient, entertaining, all-around crowd pleaser.
if you have mastered the Musician profession, congratulations! you are a bandfill player.
2. Rock Star Master Musician - this is known in the game as "Master Entertainer". this type of Master Musician gets to play the mandoviol and the Ceremonial song.
ahhh, the mandoviol. so choice, so good. even non-entertainer players take the time to cross-post onto our forums just so they can gush about it. funny thing too (hehe), they often post on the "Musician" forum, seemingly because they think the mandoviol is a musical instrument. cute newbies *smile*. be patient with them and try to explain that the mandoviol is an "entertainical" instrument. they won't understand at first but keep repeating it patiently. soon their eyes will glaze over like the rest of us and they will be assimilated.
3. Fuhreeking Oobah Rock Star Elite Master Musician - also known as Master Entertainer and Master Musician. the completely unauthorized made-up description is, "The Fuhreeking Oobah Rock Star Elite Master Musician has attained the highest level of musical and entertainical mastery and can play all the instruments and all the songs!"
this is it. this is true mastery. yes, it takes an *enormous* amount of skill points to achieve, but at this level you will be able to heal mind wounds on the battlefield with a single chord, freeze your enemies with a shower of blinding sparks, and propel yourself through space to far-off destinations with naught but an inspiring melody!
well, no. you can't do that.
but you can play all the instruments and all the songs.
so there you have it, newbehz! hope this clears things up for ya! use an 1" and a half seam allowance! recycle your used motor oil! and don't burp square tupperware, it ruins the lid!

The Fighting Musician: This is one who masters musician, entertainer and also is a teras kasi artist.
This musiciain is a strong one who can perform and kick butt.
This is my type of musician! I just gotta master teras kasi artist.

what if I master music, entertainer, and then go half way up merchant to efficiency 4 and up to bartender in the chef profession?
I'd call that number 5, the Cantina Owner.
This musician can serve drinks, buy and sell good for and from his/her customers, and entertain with all the songs and instruments.

woo that makes me a #4 musician too! well i am currently only a 1031 teras kasi artist but im really close to 2031 and i imagine leveling will go faster once i get power boost!!!! woo #4!
