Thread: Angry!
We get fireworks with the droid patch. He had a thread asking about mission terminals. They know nobody use them, so they'll probably try something with those things. Meh.
The profession is easily exploitable, maybe a Dr. Twister strategy is in order. He used to run a website that would list all the exploits for UO, with his reasoning being: if he didn't publicize the bugs, they'd never get fixed. That was a thinly veiled excuse to just be a scumbag exploiter, of course, but in the end... Dr. Twister was right.Love him or hate him, hetold the truth. There were exploits I had discovered in UO's beta, reported them over and over for up to a year, nothing was ever done. As soon as they showed up onDr. Twister's site, bang, they were patched within a week.
For me, personally, looking at all the points invested in Music, it just isn't worth it. I'd make more credits with the points invested elsewhere. The points invested do nothing for me, personally. I can heal my own mind, by running back to town, where there's healers anyway. I keep music onlyfor the fun I can have with other people, but I could still do that as a medic, and maybe a couple points invested just for the harvest dance.
What I want is to be able to buff myself, that would make the points invested worth it, in terms of gameplay. Fixing the death timer is pretty big issue too. But the devs have said it is just "too hard." How to get them to fix it? Make it so they have to revamp the system, fix the other problems because there's too much exploiting. So, we need somebody to have a site with buff bot scripts, info on exploiting yourself 30 second buffs, and exploiting yourself 4 hour buff times.
I can't believe I'm actually wishing for a Dr. Twister to come in and save the day. But I remember the guy, and he got things done. The devs used to read his site religiously. They look at the buffing system and don't want to meddle with it because they think it's working, so as long as they think that I'm not going to be buffing myself. We have to show them it is hopelessly broken.
So start exploiting, and spread the word, explain to others how to exploit so it can become a problem. That's probably the only way to get them to do anything.Maybe I'm just bitter. And to think it only took me a couple months playing this game to become that way.
JohnMarble, the devs haven't ruled out a self-buff, and they say the death-buff-bug is fixed on Test. (I still haven't been able to test it there, so I don't know if that's true.) Beyond that, they do have new content in the pipeline for entertainers; it's just moving very, very slowly. ![]()

well idk about Dr. Twister, but involving the "media" aka the gaming sites as well as anyone else that may publish negitive feedback may be in order.
Well, the mainstream gaming press have already panned this game, they're done. They think we're all crazy because we're still playing it. Well, except Desslock liked it, but he's got personal problems (heheh). I mean, the mainstream gaming press have moved on to other games. They simply won't "cover" SWG unless something monumental happens. Hell, I'm a member of the press too, kinda! I mean I can get into E3 anyway, doesn't mean I get paid at it. But even from my chunkass point of view, what's SWG? That game everybody hates. It was so awful on release, it'd be too hard to drum up anything that way.
I take it back, I mean, I hated Dr. Twister, too. But... man it was nice the way things got fixed when he was around (dreamy sigh).

Well i was thinking more a artical on sony's customer service and communication. With us as the focus. Hell even a artical posed as an envious one of how do they do it? they have the worst support and communication plan yet one of the most successful games. Even if it was in a mag that is more likely to be read by the devs
Have you ever thought of writing up anything yourself?
I'm not being sarcastic. A lot of these sites need well written pieces. Personally, I suck.

I mean, I know how it is, but you do seem articulate, hate to start nominating you, Sweaty Climber.

Yes! That's a great idea! Entertainers cannot have something by themselves they must always need someone else.
Hey, that's enough! What we want is ability, and stuff that peopleare interrested in.
Give us something we can get from our own skills.
