I just made up my mind today to drop master entertainer/musician. I'm keeping image design but the thrill is long gone from the music....

I have repeatedly tried to convey to the devs the crisis in entertainer morale, but I'm just not sure they entirely get it. If they did, surely we'd have some new songs or quests or gig-missions or something by now. 
Jujitsu: Sorry to see you go. Check back with us in a few months. Maybe by then we'll finally be playing something new. *sigh*

No new songs. nothing fixed. unix command line buffs.....
AFK has run thru us like a plague leaving so few......

Yeah we should get a bad playing command line. THat way we could go out hunting and start playing badly towards the enemy and it should cause mind damage, and invoke some status effects too, like dizzy. And maybe we could set up amps for our instru-weapons and that way we could wail on them reallly really LOUD and it could be like a KD.
(please note high levels of sarcasm can be sometimes misconstrued to being high levels of idiot idea, this is the former however)

I'm here. Bitter, jaded and bitchy, but here.
NJ, I hear ya. I don't have the patience to do what you do, so thank you for doing it. I'm sorry our professions were half-thought out and then kicked to one side like a broken Barbie doll. I'm sorry that musicians aren't even treated with as little thought as dancers, who get treated like complete whores by both the developers and the player base.
I had such hopes -- all withered and dust now.
I'm still here because I have friends in-game that I would miss intensely if I were to quit. But eventually there'll come a point where even that won't be enough anymore to keep me around. Between Designer Dragon and SoE, I thinkthey've managed tocreatethe biggest disappointment I've come across yet in MMOs. (Well, unless you count Space and Beyond, but I didn't even make it through beta on that one. Egad, what a stinker there.)
I honestly don't think the problems with Music and Dance are fixable without far more attention than the developers have shown they're willing to give. It's all about the combat and the PvP, and sod the casual player who just wants to have a little fun a couple hours a week (which admittedly isn't me, but still). So much for the game that was supposed to be for casual gamers, where the best items were supposed to be player-crafted, not loot drops, and camping wasn't supposed to ever even happen. And so much for such innovative ideas as entertainer healing.
At least Image Design seems to be working as intended from an interaction perspective. Thank goodness for that. Too bad I don't have the patience to put up with the 75% idiot quotient for people contacting someone with an Image Designer title showing.
