if your a master the only thing i can think of is your stopping and starting too much or something

I don't know really how to help you, because I do not know how much you flourish, and that's the key. It has to be a constant, steadystream of flourishes throughout a set amount of time, and the time can vary. About the only two formulas we havedata onis the ten minute model, which gives you the option to free flourish, or the 3.5 minute model, which does a lot of "packing flourishes," or spamming the flourish command in excess of the ability to flourish in truth.

So even if you go ten minutes you still must flourish a set amount of times? I do a bit of flourishing but not alot.

Try flourishing twice as often. If that doesn't get to 2hrs, then try three times as often. Buffing is a rather imprecise science. We are learning more about it everyday.

I can't think of any suggestion apart from frequently flourishing. Let us know if more frequent flourishing solves the problem. This is the second post like this I've read this week, which has me a little worried.

Can anyone explain to my why my buffs won't last longer than an hour and a few minutes?

I am a Master Musician, Using a Bandfill, Playing Virtuoso, and timed the buff out to 10 mins of play time.

Any help would be appreciated.

flourish every 7 seconds, 8 mins straight, buff will be complete for 2 hours.

Plagues7, the best way to test it is to buff your own alt, if you happen to have a second account. That way you have complete control over the buffee, and can ensure that he/she /listens and /stoplistens at the right times. Otherwise, just make sure your listener follows instructions.

And again, please post your results here, whether they be good or bad. If you keep having trouble and we can't figure out why, I'll want to pass it on to the devs.

Not quite true....

Virtuso+Narly+Mst+Flourish 5 times then pause 8 seconds and repeat......buffs done for 2hrs (i/e max)3 mins 10 secs per performance proven everytime thanks to the ingame buff timers

Ok did a test.

Bandfill, Virtuoso, Master Playing...

5 Flourishes between every time I got experience for about 4 mins brought 2 hour buff.

1 Flourish between every time I got experience for 10 mins brought 2 hour buff.

It all seems to be the amount of flourishes you do.

(I'm sure alot of you already know this... just repeating for those new that don't... like me)

Plagues7: Glad you got it straightened out.

GenTesla: I know about /flourishing without pauses, but I didn't mention it because I'm afraid the devs don't intend us to buff that way. I have asked them whether they regard that technique as a violation of the Terms of Service; no answer yet.
