When I'm playing a song and someone stops listening to me, the sound on my end pauses, sometimes for more than 30 secs
Other times it doesn't pause.
I like to use little macros that I make for songs, and the pauses really mess up the timing and sound of them.
Does this happen to anyone else?

Sometimes my sound kinda stops, exactly like it would do if I had stopped it myself. Starts up after a few seconds though, exactly as if I would have done that myself. Never understood why it happens...

Yes, that usually happens when someone does /stoplisten on me... I especially notice that when buffing, and after telling them to stop listening. But then, maybe that's our version of a rudimentary buffing interface? When the sound pauses, you at least know they've stoppedlistening to you, which means that they have listened in the first place

Yeah I've noticed the same thing pattern Landlubber wrote... it usually happens when someone stops listening after they've been getting a buff. What really annoys me is when it happens when I haven't been actively buffing someone... did someone in my group just steal a buff off me? Grrrr.....

It happens when not buffing too. I think it may be the /stoplisten command, rather than picking stop listen from the radial menu.

Yes, you are right, I also have this happen when playing normally. Today for example, as I was plaing in a large group in Theed cantina...
Hmm, interesting idea on the /stoplisten as opposed to the radial. Have to test this out on occasion with a guildmate or a friend...

I would believe the /stoplisten vs radial argument. I very consistently get this issue when buffing people (and telling them specifically to do a /stoplisten), but only occassionally when just playing.
Sometimes actually kind of handy to know if the listener made a mistake when I was buffing them (if I don't get the music pause, and they didn't get the buff, I can be suspicious).

I seem to get it alot when there is fighting going on inside the cantina. I always thought it was because of too many sounds playing at the same time.

When I was doing testing on buffs, I noticed this was only when I did /stoplisten. Walking away or using the radial menu doesn't do it.
It's even worse for dancers. Since it's not obvious if you're watching yourself or not, you can't tell it's happened. Neither could the devs. There is no auto self-watch like there is for listen. So if someone does /stopwatch on a dancer, they stop healing their own mind/BF.
